In this tutorial I’ll be going through SEO for beginners and
00:04
I’ll be using Yoast SEO to optimize a wordpress website
00:08
But let’s say if you’re using Shopify or another content management system, you can still use this guide
00:13
But you just have to follow the same principles and find out where you can actually edit the on-page SEO part for your website
00:20
ok, so
00:22
My name is Hogan and I’m gonna be going through the five step formula to rank on page number one
00:27
So in stage one
00:29
I’m gonna be talking about understanding SEO and stage two will be going through keyword research and also
00:35
competition analysis
00:37
Then we’ll be moving to stage three which is on-page optimization and then stage four off page
00:44
optimization and Stage five analysis
00:46
okay, so finally I also give you some actionable tips and advice to also boost your rankings, right so
00:53
What can you actually use this guide for so you can use this guide to optimize your own local website or a blog or e-commerce?
00:59
Website and convert them to sales or you can actually just use this guide for educational purposes and maybe you can help clients
01:07
You know optimize their websites and charge monthly retainers
01:10
It’s really up to you what users guide for but this is a one-hour tutorial
01:14
So maybe you know grab a coffee or something like that. All right
01:18
So what is SEO right search engine optimization it basically means optimizing your website. So it ranks on
01:25
These search engines for example on Google and Bing and other things like that
01:29
Right so so that you can actually get organic traffic to your website
01:33
So this is actually the best traffic source that you can get because people are looking for exactly what you have to offer
01:39
Right. So for example, if you’re doing paid advertising on Facebook ads, I’m not saying that it’s bad
01:44
I’m just saying compared to that. This is something that you really need to focus on for your website or your business, right?
01:51
Because if you’re doing paid advertising, you’re only guessing what they want, right, you’re interrupting them. For example, they’re watching TV and
01:58
They’re scrolling through their Facebook feed on their mobile during a advertisement on TV
02:04
But they’re not really looking for a carpet cleaning service if that’s what you’re offering, right?
02:09
there in the mindset of you know looking at what their friends are doing and stuff like
02:13
that right there not really looking for a carpet cleaning service because their carpets clean already but let’s say
02:18
You know if you’re ranking on Google and your ranking for carpet cleaning in a specific location
02:25
People actually have that problem that wants to be solved right? So they’re people
02:31
That people are actually looking for that solution and they wanted urgently
02:34
Okay, if you’re ranking there
02:36
then you’re gonna have a really good chance of converting those to sales and there are thousands and
02:42
thousands of people who are searching for exactly what you have to offer and
02:45
Once you actually start ranking, then you get consistent visitors to your website for free and all you need to do is maintain that okay
02:54
So I’m gonna explain a little bit about how Google actually ranks your website
02:59
So the first thing they do
03:01
The most basic thing is they scan your website. So let’s look at this website here Forbes travel guide
03:07
Okay
03:08
So how they scan your website is they look at your pages content, you know, does it actually have the keywords?
03:15
Which the user is actually searching for so Google’s job is to provide the most relevant
03:22
You know the rep most relevant answers to that users search query, right?
03:26
so whatever they’re searching for if they’re searching for this cost study is
03:31
Este beach resort. I think that’s how you pronounce it
03:34
Okay, then you better bet that that keyword should be on that page, right so they actually look at the page source
03:41
so if you right click and view that page source, they look at
03:46
The code here and whether or not you know, the content is related to what the user is searching for
03:51
So that is the first step. Okay
03:53
The second step is our other websites linking to you, right?
03:58
So what that’s gonna tell Google is, you know, is this website’s?
04:03
Relevance and also is this website a helpful resource?
04:06
So normally when people actually link to a specific page, it means that page is sort of important
04:12
Okay, it gives that page what we call link juice, right?
04:16
So for example, this Forbes Travel Guide, it’s linking back to the hotel website, right?
04:21
so if you actually click into that then that’s gonna link to
04:24
this hotel website
04:27
And that’s basically going to tell Google that you know, this website is quiet trustworthy because Forbes is actually linking to it
04:34
Right. So the second step is actually getting links to your website
04:37
So I’ll be going through that how to get links later
04:40
But that is basically the main two factors that Google uses to calculate it
04:45
Right, then there are other things which is the click-through rate. So the click-through rate is for example, if we actually go to Google
04:54
and
04:56
Let’s just do maybe best
05:00
hotels in Bali
05:04
Okay, if
05:05
if you’re actually searching for best hotels to Bali then when people are browsing that like for example if I’m a
05:12
User or a customer and I’m scrolling through the results here and I don’t click on these two results
05:18
Okay
05:19
I click on this result because because basically the the title here and also the description is much more sort of
05:27
Clickable and these two get clicked less. Okay, because they haven’t optimized the title
05:32
They haven’t optimized their description. So this one’s going to get a higher click-through rate. So more people are going to click through it
05:39
Less people are gonna click through to these websites. Okay, that will mean a low click-through rate. So Google takes that into consideration as well
05:48
So we’ll be going through how to optimize those settings later
05:52
But basically user experience is another factor. So how long someone actually spends on your website?
05:58
so how long does the actual user spend browsing this website will actually tell a lot to Google whether or not this website is a
06:07
valuable resource
06:08
Okay, so if people click onto your website and they look at it and you have some really really bad picture or you know
06:15
Really really bad layout and content people are gonna click off that website
06:18
and Google is going to know that website is not a good website and they’re not gonna rank you right so it’s really important to
06:25
To take that into consideration
06:28
Another factor is the speed of the website
06:30
So if your website takes longer than I think three or four seconds to load people are gonna click off your website
06:36
Another factor is mobile friendliness. So it’s really important to have a mobile-friendly web and
06:41
You can check your mobile friendliness on a page called. I think the sponsor Nader
06:48
comm
06:49
So you can plug in this URL. For example this hotel URL plug it into here and
06:55
Then click on go and basically you can see if it’s you know, mobile responsive or not. Okay?
07:02
So basically they take everything into consideration
07:05
So your goal is to make a website the best you can for the user
07:09
So make the user happy and solve a problem and give amazing value. And then basically you’ll get ranked
07:15
Ok, so it’s also really important to understand that Google makes most of us money from AdWords
07:21
So AdWords is the ads up here
07:23
So if someone actually clicks into that ad then the advertiser for example
07:28
This pure brightening cleaning company will have to pay Google
07:33
Ok, so Google makes most of the money from its search engine and AdWords. So it’s really important that
07:41
You know Google provides the best user experience
07:45
When people actually using their free search engine, so people can keep coming back to the search engine
07:50
Keep using it keep clicking on their ads
07:53
ok, so
07:54
So you gotta really understand that and if you have a bad website that doesn’t provide any value then it’s not gonna rank
08:00
Alright, so there’s three different types of search queries
08:04
Informational so what that means is people are looking for an answer to a question
08:08
So for example, you might be looking on how to make money or how to do SEO how to lose weight
08:14
You know, those are informational types of keywords or people might be doing
08:20
earphone reviews or the best TV or best
08:24
HDTV review those types of informational keywords, and you’ve also got navigational so navigational is
08:31
People know where they want to go
08:32
But they use Google as a way to navigate through that website because they might not know the domain
08:39
So for example people might be on Google anyway, and there might be like typing in Amazon or something like that or Amazon AWS
08:46
Which is a Amazon service, you know, for example
08:49
Some people don’t know the exact URL so they’re not going to type it into here
08:53
But they use the Google search to navigate to that page
08:57
All right, and then there is the transactional types of keywords
09:01
So people are looking to buy something or spend money for example carpet cleaning in a specific location
09:07
so people are looking for a service and they’re really likely to buy or
09:11
It might be for like an e-commerce store might be for like buy shoes online or buy a specific pair of shoes online
09:17
Those are transactional. So what we’re going to be focusing on is transactional and also informational
09:24
Informational is really important because you have more control over that
09:28
because you have more creativity in terms of what content you can create and you can target more keywords and
09:35
once you actually target those keywords and you start ranking for these keywords, which some of them I really
09:41
Sort of highly searched for then
09:43
You can start using that you know that your blog or something like that or that page
09:49
To go back to your shop page or to your services page. Alright?
09:55
so
09:57
What we’re gonna be doing is finding keywords
09:59
So I’ve structured this into three sections local blog and personal and e-commerce
10:05
So the principles are pretty much the same but there are some slight differences and I want to go through different examples to help you
10:12
Understand a little bit better
10:13
If you don’t want to go and watch specific parts, you can use the time status below to skip to the most relevant
10:20
section but I highly recommend watching at all because yeah, I think it’s really
10:24
Important so for this part of the video, I’ll be going through finding keywords
10:30
So the basics of finding a good keyword is that you want to find a keyword which is sort of
10:36
Related or really relevant to what you actually have to offer, right?
10:40
You don’t want to rank for something that you don’t actually provide
10:44
So let’s say for example, you’re selling organic coffee beans
10:47
Then you don’t really want to at least at first rank for a broad term for example, like coffee
10:53
Okay, because when people are searching for coffee on Google, you know, they might be looking for definitions or you know
11:00
all sorts of different things like you wouldn’t know right but there are a lot of searches but you know
11:05
Not many of them are looking for again coffee beans
11:08
So it would be much easier for you to rank your website
11:11
And also you’ll convert higher also
11:14
You’ll probably have less competition and you actually satisfy the visitor if you actually target what you have to offer
11:21
Okay. So once you actually get some results it’s gonna build your confidence up with SEO and then you’re gonna be able to dominate
11:28
so I’m gonna actually go through a
11:32
Example so I’m gonna do a local carpet cleaning business as an example to show you
11:38
Sort of everything that I do to find the keywords, okay?
11:41
So for example, like all the tools and everything, I’ll show you everything right now. Okay, so
11:46
What I normally do is I probably write it down on a piece of paper in this case. I’m just gonna type it out
11:52
So this is a carpet cleaning business
11:54
So for me, I would sort of put myself in the shoes of the customer
11:59
okay, what would they be searching for after they just spilt, you know coffee on their carpet, you know, they’re probably searched for like
12:07
carpet
12:10
Cleaners in
12:12
Melbourne or they might search, you know carpet
12:16
Cleaning in Melbourne, and they might even search for how to remove
12:23
Coffee stain
12:26
from carpet
12:29
Okay, so these two keywords are highly transactional this one is more informational so people are looking for a how-to
12:37
Okay, so based on your seed keywords. What I do is I would copy the
12:44
The keyword and then go to Google. Okay, and then just paste that in and then do a Google search so
12:51
what we’re gonna do now is basically get some more keyword ideas and we can do that by just
12:56
Looking at our competitors websites and see what they’re actually ranking for. So I’m gonna open the first result here and
13:04
Maybe it will go with this one here cobble cleaning Melbourne. So let’s take two examples
13:11
So when we’re actually looking at the website here, you can just go to the top part of the website here
13:17
And normally they’ll have services
13:20
Okay, so if you actually see here, these are all the keywords that they are targeting their main keywords
13:25
Okay, so it’s really easy to see
13:27
So if you go back to this one here a different website
13:30
You can also hover on the services and you can see the keywords that they’re targeting
13:34
So the targeting carpet cleaning duct cleaning tile and grout cleaning
13:39
Basically, this is gonna give you some more ideas
13:41
Like if you’re new to the industry
13:43
this is gonna give you a lot of different ideas of what people actually searching for and what I’ll do is probably just
13:50
look at all the services and then put them on a
13:54
Notepad or something like that. So I would do let’s say
14:01
This one tile and
14:05
Grout cleaning and then we’ll do this one as well
14:13
Okay, so obviously type out the ones that you
14:17
Will provide as well?
14:18
Okay
14:19
so I’m not going to type out all these ones that
14:21
is where I’ll do to generate some keyword ideas of what pages that should I create for my business and
14:27
What keywords should I target?
14:29
Okay, once you have those seed keywords, okay?
14:32
So you should have probably like 10 to 20 different keywords based from their website here
14:37
Okay, just looking at those services. Okay, then what I do is go to a website called ubersuggest
14:43
So if you go to Google and just type in ubersuggest and click on the first result
14:47
we should take it to neo Patel’s website and
14:51
Here we can enter in the keyword. So Carpet Cleaners in Melbourne. I
14:56
Would paste that into here the keyword and select web here here I’m gonna select the country. So I’m going to select
15:04
Australia so I’m gonna look for English and then type in Australia click on lookup
15:09
Ok, so that says there is a volume of six thousand and six hundred. So this is by the month
15:15
So there’s six thousand six hundred people
15:19
searching per month approximately
15:21
Okay, and the CPC which means cost per click and that’s almost ten dollars
15:26
So the cost per click is if you actually look here you’ll see that up here on the there is add
15:34
Okay, so these are Google ads and advertisers
15:38
For example, this guy here Carpet Cleaners Melbourne. This company is advertising using Google Adwords
15:44
So if someone actually clicks on that result, then this company will have to pay Google
15:50
$9 60 per click. Okay, so that almost gives you a
15:56
Indication of how competitive the keyword is. Alright. So normally the higher the CPC the more competitive it is okay because
16:04
You know people are paying let’s say, you know $10 per click. So obviously these free results here
16:11
Okay, they’ll be quite competitive because these are all for free
16:14
Okay
16:14
You don’t have to pay Google if someone clicks into your your website
16:19
So that gives you an indication how competitive it is. So for example if you click
16:25
up here on the search volume
16:27
Ok, you’ll see cheap as chips
16:29
Okay, so chips are cheap as chips is a company and the CPC is quite low only 58 cents
16:36
the reason why it’s quite low is because
16:40
cheapest chips people are actually typing that into Google but that is not a
16:46
Sort of a transactional keyword, right? That is a navigational keyword. So people are navigating to that website
16:53
Okay, so it wouldn’t make sense for anyone any other advertiser to be targeting that
16:58
Keyword, okay because people are looking specifically for this keyword and they’re not gonna click on anything else
17:04
So there’s not much point and as you can see there is no Google ads here. Alright, so
17:10
If we go back here
17:11
Then what you do is you look at all the different keywords. Okay. So what I do is just copy them probably to your
17:20
your clipboard or your notepad here and
17:24
Copy down all those different ideas, like everything that is related to what you actually have to offer
17:29
so for example and at least cleaning Melbourne, so end of lease is basically
17:34
You know after you have found a new place
17:37
Then you need to clean that house for the landlord before you can actually get the bond back
17:42
Alright, so we’ll look at all the different keywords here. You might prove
17:47
Provide office cleaning, okay
17:49
I’m gonna scroll down you might provide commercial cleaning
17:52
You might just copy that down. Okay
17:56
Vacate cleaning. So that is almost the same as the end of lease cleaning
18:01
Right so different people type in different stuff. Okay, so it’s important to understand that this one is bond cleaning
18:08
Okay, so these three here I pretty much the same thing, but, you know people type at different things
18:15
Okay, so this is going to give you a lot more
18:18
idea of what keywords people are searching for and what keywords you can actually create pages specifically for
18:25
So we’ve got here our best carpet cleaning in Melbourne
18:28
So you’ve got some
18:30
Sort of modifiers. These are called so invest. Alright, and you’ve also got people typing in cheap
18:37
Okay, so you can copy down all these little keywords and things like that
18:40
And once you actually create a page then you can actually add these keywords onto your page
18:46
So when google scans your website, they will see that you have that content on the page. Right like for example affordable
18:58
Ok scrolling down and
19:01
You might find some informational types of keywords. Alright, so we can search down here
19:07
for example carpet cleaning cost ok copper cleaning cost is
19:11
People wants to know how much does it cost for carpet cleaning services. So what I do is copy that down as well
19:17
Ok, so for these types of keywords, what I’ll do is I’ll create blog posts for these
19:24
Alright, so blog posts are sort of different from pages
19:28
These are quite similar, but you know
19:30
it’s kind of different these ones have a set layouts and
19:34
They look something like this so blog post looks something like we scroll down here
19:38
I think these guys probably have a blog
19:40
I can’t click on the blog and it’s sort of like an article format right prepare your home for the coldest season
19:46
So this one is probably
19:49
Winter cleaning tips, maybe that’s their keyword targeting. Ok. So this is the blog post
19:54
ok, so you would probably create a blog post which is
19:58
covering
19:59
Much it cost to clean the carpet
20:01
Okay, so people might be searching for this keyword and then they might land on your page and then they realize okay
20:07
It’s not that expensive and then they say oh, okay. I might hire this company. Okay, so it’s sort of like picture this right?
20:14
So for example McDonald’s they offer I think in Australia
20:19
At least they offer really cheap soft-serve. Okay, so what they do is they put the soft serve and make it really cheap
20:26
So that they attract people there and once a pick once people are there then they upsell people on you know?
20:32
A happy meal or like a Big Mac meal the same thing with 7-elevens. Okay, they sell $1 coffee in Australia
20:40
So they attract people there so, you know people go there and they might buy different stuff
20:44
For example, you know fill up the car or whatnot. Okay, because the $1 coffee
20:48
Okay, so think of your blog section on your website think of it as sort of a place where you can attract people in
20:56
to create that brand awareness and
20:58
Once people are there then people can see all you offer that service as well. Okay, and
21:03
It’s highly likely that there will hire you because you know
21:07
They realize that you’re providing value and that you’re an expert in what you actually do. So this does actually take some time
21:13
Okay, so this this isn’t like a you know
21:16
a one-hour thing
21:18
This is pop this probably take you like several hours to you know
21:22
Find keywords and look for the keywords and put them all on a notepad
21:26
Okay, once you actually have them in the notepad, then you should sort of organize them into you know
21:32
What pages you want to create? All right, so if you actually
21:37
Draw that out. Okay. This is the mind map that I created
21:40
So for example on my home page
21:43
I’m gonna target carpet cleaners Melbourne as my primary keyword
21:47
My secondary keyword is the same one, but it has in Melbourne in there. Okay?
21:54
So what you normally want to do for each page you want to target one primary keyword?
21:58
okay, and one secondary one, but it should be like very
22:03
Similar. Okay, you might have a you know modifier in there or something like in or cheaper affordable anything like that?
22:09
Okay, so this one might be primary keyword might be tile cleaning, Melbourne
22:15
Secondary might be tile cleaning in Melbourne
22:17
Okay, you don’t want to confuse Google and target?
22:19
you know all sorts of keywords on one specific page and it’s also important because if you actually target
22:27
let’s say
22:29
Go to this website here
22:31
Let’s go to tile & grout cleaning. Okay, when people are searching for tile and grout cleaning
22:36
They’re looking for tile and grout cleaning. Okay, so so you should have images of you know tiles and stuff like that
22:44
so, you know as you can see they have a video there and they have content related to what that’s
22:50
you know, that user is actually searching for okay, so if you target like
22:54
You know multiple keywords on one specific page then people are gonna look at it and they’re not gonna be sort of
23:01
Attracted to it because you’re all over the place. Okay
23:05
So right now once you’ve actually have you know, your list of keywords, it’s time to sort of check out the competition and see
23:13
Whether or not you should go for that keyword or you should try it and find a different variation of that keyword. Okay, so
23:20
We can do that manually and to do that manually if you actually type in the keyword in the Google
23:25
alright
23:26
then you can scroll down and you can the first thing that you want to see is is that keyword actually in the title of
23:32
The website. Okay. So this one is
23:35
Carpet dry cleaning Melbourne. Okay, so it has a variation of it. Okay, but it’s not exact and
23:41
If you scroll down here same thing carpet cleaning in Melbourne, okay
23:46
So this one’s Carpet Cleaners in Melbourne, so it’s not exact but it is a very similar
23:52
Variation scrolling down and just looking at all these ones. They’re all pretty similar and they do have variations of that keyword and
23:59
To me. It’s sort of like a medium
24:02
Competitive keyword. Okay, so people do have that in their title. They do have that in their URL as well and they do have
24:10
some of the keywords in the Meta Description
24:13
okay, so
24:14
What we’re doing now is because Google actually scans your website
24:18
And checks whether or not you have that keyword on your page then you know
24:22
This is this is one of the most important factors that’s you want to be looking for?
24:27
Okay, then you want to be looking at inside the website. Is that keyword?
24:32
Within the content, okay
24:34
So you do a ctrl F and that will bring up this window here and then you can try and paste in your keywords
24:41
so your one was
24:44
Carpet
24:45
Cleaners in Melbourne, okay, so that’s not on the page. So that basically means that you have a opportunity there
24:52
So let’s search up cop cleaners, Melbourne. Okay, so that’s not in there carpet cleaners, okay
24:58
They do have carpet cleaners in the content, but I think there are targeting carpet cleaning melbourne
25:03
Okay, so they’re talking carpet cleaning. Let’s see. All right, so that appears, you know, I think
25:10
15 15 times on the website. Okay, so when google scans a website, they’ll see okay
25:15
This website is related to carpet cleaning and let’s do melbourne
25:20
Okay, they have one of those keywords in the page, right and let’s do melbourne
25:27
carpet cleaning
25:29
That appears nine times, right? So they have that keyword on the page. So when google scans it then they know that it’s related to
25:37
Carpet cleaning in melbourne, right? So what you want to check for is?
25:42
The h1 tag, so normally it will be the title
25:46
So you would highlight that and then you click on inspect and you’ll see whether or not they’ve optimized the heading one tag
25:53
To be their keyword. Okay, normally the heading one tag. That is their target keyword
25:58
So as you can see their target keywords carbo cleaning melbourne
26:01
So we’re gonna close that
26:04
So this page obviously, it’s medium competition i’m gonna show you a low competition keywords so you can see the difference
26:11
alright, so if we actually go to let’s say
26:16
Carpet
26:17
cleaning in Cairo
26:20
I’m not quite sure if people in Egypt actually use Google actually, but this is just an example. Okay, so
26:27
For example carpet cleaning in Cairo Egypt if we look here you’ll see carpet cleaning
26:32
Within the title and you’ll also see it within the Meta Description. Okay, so I’m gonna open that in a new tab
26:38
Carpet Cleaning Cairo Egypt
26:40
Okay, that’s good. But if you look down here it’s carpet care and if you look in here
26:46
It doesn’t have
26:47
Cleaning and it doesn’t even have Cairo or Egypt in there and same it doesn’t have a foot URL either
26:54
Okay, so we’re gonna copy that and open that in a new tab
26:57
this one doesn’t have it either so it doesn’t have Kabul cleaning in the title and
27:03
We’re gonna open that as well, okay, so this will give you an indication of
27:09
Basically how competitive it is based on just the title itself?
27:12
So this one is talking about pest control Egypt. So it’s got nothing to do with Kabul cleaning, right or maybe it does but
27:19
They’re targeting pest control on this page
27:23
Okay, so to me that looks like a low competition keyword in Cairo Egypt
27:28
So if we look at the page, yeah, then you do a control find
27:32
Carpet cleaning. Okay, so it appears two times. It’s not too bad and
27:37
Let’s search up Cairo. Okay, so it doesn’t have Cairo in there. Okay
27:42
So as you can see this website is kind of old as well
27:46
Okay
27:47
Just going down. Okay, this book this page is quite old and if you do control find
27:54
carpet cleaning
27:56
Okay, it appears five times. Okay. Let’s check the heading one tag, or it might not be a heading one tag
28:02
okay, so as you can see, that’s not
28:05
Encapsulated in the h1 tag, so they haven’t optimizes page a lot. And as you can see, it’s quite old as well
28:12
This one here. Okay. I don’t think that is any good
28:17
this one here, I think is a
28:22
Manufacturer of carpets. Okay, rather than a specific carpet cleaning service
28:26
I think they might they might have it that they haven’t really optimized a page
28:31
So if you do highlight this which might be the title, let’s see. Okay, so that’s the heading one tag
28:37
They haven’t optimized it. Okay, they have just put home as the h1 tag. So when scoot google scans our website there
28:44
It’s gonna tell Google that’s you know, it just says home, okay
28:49
So this one is a low competition keywords in Cairo Egypt, but a medium competition in Melbourne, Australia
28:57
Alright, so what you can also do is you can also download a Chrome extension
29:03
so you can search up Moz bar chrome and
29:06
What you’re doing now is a navigational keyword search. Okay, so here it should be the top results click into it and
29:13
then you can actually add that to Chrome and then
29:16
Sign up for a free account
29:19
ok, once you’ve done that and it’s activated then you can actually turn that on and then
29:24
We’re gonna do a refresh
29:29
Ok, so this is going to give you a PA and a da so a da stands for domain Authority PA stands for page Authority
29:37
So the higher it is the harder it is for you to actually rank. Okay, so this one is yeah medium competition
29:44
It has a domain authority of around 20 to 30
29:47
If we actually do the same for the Egypt one
29:50
You’ll see that’s the page Authority here is six and the main authority is seven
29:55
so you could probably rank for this keyword in Egypt for
29:59
Probably in a week or so, but this one here will probably take you a few months and get at least
30:06
So if we search for a high competition keyword, for example, let’s see how to lose weight
30:13
Okay, it’s going down
30:16
You’ll see that the PA and the DA will be higher. So as you can see the PA is 55 da is a –
30:24
Okay, the DA is 62 here. And if you scroll down to rank in the top 10 you’ll have to have a
30:31
a minimum of at least 30
30:34
so this one will take you a lot longer to actually rank for right so
30:39
You can do that for each of these keywords here. Okay, so it’s gonna take some time obviously and
30:44
Sometimes you know, you might just use the same keyword as what your competitors are using
30:50
Okay, because you know, you can’t really vary it too much
30:52
I mean, like for example end of Lee’s cleaning is just end of Lee’s cleaning, right?
30:57
You can’t really change it too much because you can’t change it to something that you know people aren’t searching for
31:03
So basically, I know this is sort of a lot to take in
31:07
Because for me explaining it it’s already a lot. So if you’re a beginner then all you really need to do is
31:14
Find keywords which you know are related to your business and then just sort of draw it out in like a mind map
31:20
Okay. So for example
31:22
Pick the keywords that you want to target for your homepage
31:25
just pick one main keyword and one secondary keyword and
31:29
Then you create separate pages that target all the other keywords. Okay, so
31:34
One primary keyword and then you’ll have a secondary keyword. All right, and when you’re actually looking on
31:41
You know, let’s say the ubersuggest website, right you might pick, you know, informational types of keywords, you might see you let’s do
31:49
Let’s just search up. Let’s say Carpet
31:53
Cleaning right and if you do a look up, okay, so I’ve searched up Kaba cleaning and I’m gonna click on this – sure
32:02
The keywords which have the most search volume
32:05
All right, so we’re gonna scroll down here and we’ll find some informational types of keywords. Let’s see
32:15
Okay, so how to clean carpet okay, so this one has 1,000 searches
32:19
So if you see keywords like that, I’ll write that down as well into your notepad
32:24
I get to create blog posts related to that keyword
32:28
Because you know if if you’re targeting these keywords, it’s not gonna be a instant thing
32:33
Okay, just because you have content related to this thing
32:36
It’s still gonna take you a few months, especially if it’s a medium sort of competitive keyword
32:41
Then what I recommend you do is to actually write blog post
32:44
It’s like seven best ways to clean carpet or how to steam clean carpet how to remove carpet stains
32:50
create like a really really good content to actually help people solve this problem and
32:55
People might be reading it and then they might realize okay. It takes so much work
32:58
They need to buy this and that they’ll rather hire you. Okay, so you’ve got more control over
33:04
informational types of keywords because you can definitely be a lot more creative in the ways in the keywords that you can actually and
33:13
People are more likely to link to this type of content
33:16
So to get links to let’s say to your homepage or to to these pages here. It’s gonna be a lot harder
33:23
I mean you can get links from let’s say like a like a directory website
33:28
But if you’re trying to get links from like let’s say a blog or something like that
33:31
It’s a little bit harder because you know, you’re not really providing that much value to
33:37
You know their the blog users right? But you know this type of content is a lot easier for people to link to and
33:44
That it’s gonna build up your link profile
33:47
Okay, and in turn and over time
33:50
It’s gonna start ranking for these keywords and in turn your homepage will start ranking for these more competitive types of keywords
33:57
okay, so I know this is a lot to
33:59
Take in but you can re-watch this part again
34:03
hopefully it sort of helped you out in actually giving you some more ideas on how to
34:09
Find keywords. So there’s also another thing that I really want to show you so below this video
34:14
there is a seven day free trial for
34:17
SEM brush so it’s an SEO software to basically help you speed up the process of
34:23
Finding keywords and also finding backlinks, okay
34:26
so before you know
34:28
You’re sort of digging a hole with your own hands. That was a manual method and it’s good to understand it
34:35
But if you actually use the software it’s sort of like using a machine to dig a hole so it’s gonna be a lot quicker
34:40
And a lot easier for you, right if we actually put in a URL
34:44
so for example, this is our competitors URL and you can click on search and
34:49
Make sure you select the country that you are targeting
34:52
This is gonna give you a overview here
34:56
But what we want to look at is the top organic keywords
34:58
so it actually gives you a full report on what keywords your competitors are ranking for and
35:05
Also, it’s gonna give you you know the volume and also it’s going to give you the keyword difficulty
35:11
Okay, so as you can see it’s about 51, which is probably like a medium
35:15
Keyword and it’s gonna tell you how much traffic you’re actually getting. Okay
35:19
so this is probably the main keyword here as you can see it’s number and
35:25
53% of their traffic to the website. Is this keyword here?
35:28
Okay, and then you can check out you know
35:31
What other keywords they’re targeting and this is gonna give you a whole
35:34
You know new set of keywords that he can actually add in for your current content as well
35:39
So you can start ranking for these sort of lower
35:43
Searched phrases, for example this one carpet-cleaning prices. It’s got 260
35:49
Searches per month so you can actually include prices in the actual content of that page. Okay, so you might start ranking for
35:56
These keywords as well
35:58
Okay, so you can use that and research it
36:00
Okay, so it’s going to be a lot quicker and you can also filter it as well
36:04
so you can use include and exclude or the keywords and
36:09
also
36:10
You can search by, you know, the volume and stuff like that as well
36:14
Alright, so what you can also do is you can click on the backlink section here and it’s gonna tell you you know
36:20
Which links are linking to the website? So click on the backlinks tab up here?
36:26
All right, so it’s gonna show you that ok
36:28
this this website here has gotten a link from fine to local calm, which I think should be a
36:35
Local listing so I’m gonna try and click on that see if it pops up
36:39
Ok, so it’s a local listing website which you can basically register for for free
36:44
I’m pretty sure these ones are free and then you can include your details include your URL and then you have a bad click already
36:51
So you don’t have to go around searching for?
36:53
You know, where can you find links?
36:55
you can just see you know, which links your competitors are ranking for do this for maybe the top 10 results and
37:02
You know start building up your link profile
37:04
And once you have more links then and you have good content
37:07
Then it’s highly likely that you’re gonna rank higher than these people
37:10
So this is a really really cool tool and I’ll probably be going through this a little bit later in the video
37:16
Okay
37:16
So make sure you use the 7-day free trial to check out the keywords and also check out all the places
37:23
Where your competitors have got the links from? All right. So right now what I’m gonna do is go through some
37:30
blog examples
37:32
Okay
37:32
So I’m gonna show you how to do research for your blog and then I’ll go
37:36
How to do research for your ecommerce store and then we’ll start doing on-page SEO. All right
37:42
so now I’m gonna go through keyword research for
37:46
Bloggers or you might have a personal blog travel blog anything like that. I’m gonna go through that
37:52
So I’m gonna assume that you want to start blogging full time and you want to start making money from your blog
37:58
So, how are we gonna do that? So there are several ways to actually monetize a blog
38:04
The first one is by affiliate links. So signing up for affiliate programs
38:09
So basically you’re promoting. Someone else’s product and you get a commission
38:14
That is the most recommended one for beginners because you don’t have to have you know any experience at all
38:20
You can just write about your experience
38:23
you can write about
38:25
Your experience with a product or a place or anything like that?
38:28
You don’t need to be an expert at whatever it is as long as you know more than you know, what other people know
38:36
Then you can write about it and you can educate people
38:39
Right, then the second way is to do some freelance work
38:43
So as you actually build up audience or you know traffic to your website, you can start providing freelance work
38:50
you know or you might have a
38:53
Agency, or you might have tour or different services you can promote that and then you can actually create you know ebooks
39:00
Right so you can create ebooks and courses for example, if you actually start making money from your blog
39:08
Then you can actually show people how to actually make money from their blog, right?
39:13
so for example making sense of sense calm they make money from
39:19
Helping people save and they actually have a section where they show their income reports
39:25
So as you can see
39:26
they’ve made you know over a hundred thousand dollars in the month of June just from blogging right so they
39:32
show you how they make a blog and by doing that they can promote other more lucrative sort of affiliate programs and
39:41
Make more money. Okay, so that’s an idea that you can do
39:46
and also if you’re popular then you might want to sell your physical products or anything like that as well like t-shirts or
39:54
Whatever that’s related to you to your blog
39:57
Okay, if you’re more technical you can also sell software so, you know more technical people
40:03
They might create a software which helps their audience as well. Then you can do that as well. Okay, so
40:10
I’m gonna actually take a travel blogger as an example
40:14
alright, so if you’re a travel blogger, what I’ll do first is I’ll
40:19
just go to google and
40:21
type in some keywords that or
40:23
Things that you want to write about that you have experience in for example
40:27
If you have been to Bali then you want to blog about Bali. Alright, you don’t write about sort of things
40:34
Like what I did in Bali, you know what I mean? Because people aren’t gonna search what I did in Bali
40:41
right because like if you actually copy that keyword and yeah, if you actually go to uber suggest and
40:48
You plug that into here?
40:49
And you click on lookup then you can see how many searches it gets in the United States on Google
40:56
Okay, so it’s not showing up here because maybe because there’s not enough searches for it
41:01
The reason why there’s no lab surface where it is because so people actually search for you know
41:07
They want to know what they can do in Bali
41:10
So you would you would do blog post on
41:13
basically like top hotels in Bali because that’s what people are gonna search in or
41:18
You know best hotels anything like that or maybe like books to do in Bali
41:24
Because that’s what people are actually searching for. Okay, once you actually have an audience, then you can write stuff like
41:30
You know your what I did in Bali and things like that because you don’t have an audience yet. Then you want to
41:37
get an audience first by
41:39
creating articles which people are searching for
41:42
All right, so you can target so many different things here
41:45
And you know when you actually type it in here, these are some of the things that people actually searching for
41:52
Okay
41:52
So these are some of the you know titles that you can create an article on and if you actually scroll down
42:00
There’s some here as well. Right? So what you do is you can copy the keywords
42:05
ideas
42:06
Into here go to the suggest. Okay, so you can just google that and
42:12
click come on look up and you’ll see that there is about
42:16
1900 searches in the United States
42:19
Okay, and if you actually go to search volume here, you can see the monthly searches. So for example, where is Bali?
42:28
Bali hotels things to do in Bali. Ok, and the CPC stands for cost per click
42:34
Okay, so these are add word campaigns. Okay
42:38
So for this company here if anyone clicks into the website, they’ll have to pay Google
42:44
Let’s say that was the example. Okay, for example, Bali hotels they have to pay Google
42:50
2.65 per click
42:51
so that gives you an indication of
42:54
How competitive the keyword is the higher it is then probably the more competitive the keyword
43:00
Okay, because the reason for that is because these results here ranking
43:06
Organic, okay, so they’re free. So anytime someone clicked into that. You don’t have to pay Google, right?
43:12
So obviously the more expensive the CPC is here then people want to rank highly here
43:19
Okay, because these will be highly converting keywords
43:22
Okay, so by that, I mean like if someone clicks into it, then they’re really likely to make a purchase
43:29
alright
43:30
so if we actually minimize that
43:33
So what we do is we’re gonna actually click into a blog and see basically how they actually monetize, right
43:40
So one of the blogs that let’s just do things to do in the Bali
43:48
Okay, obviously these are the top websites here TripAdvisor
43:52
So it’s going to be hard to outrank some of these websites here, but let’s click into maybe one of this the blog a blog
44:01
Scrolling down
44:04
And you can look on the second page as well
44:07
So we want to look at other blogs who are you know, making money as well
44:12
So let’s just have a look. Okay, look at how they’re making money
44:17
So you can have a look if let’s click on one of these things
44:20
Okay, so this isn’t really like a blog or anything like that
44:25
It’s more of a I
44:27
Guess it is a blog but it’s more of a sort of like a directory sort of website. Okay?
44:34
if we’re actually
44:39
Santorini Dave
44:41
Okay, so this is a good blog that you can get some inspiration from
44:46
Okay, so as you can see, he’s got travel guides for all sorts of different locations
44:51
guides for
44:53
Different hotels as well, right and let’s click on all
44:59
destinations
45:00
And let’s click on Bali
45:04
okay, let’s click on best hotels and
45:07
Then here if you scroll down right and if you look at the links, okay. So for example, this one is
45:15
linking to booking comm and if you look at the bottom left
45:20
Okay, you’ll see that it has the URL and it has a ID
45:25
Equals three four six four two six and that is that an affiliate ID
45:31
So if someone clicks in that and makes a booking for a hotel, then this website owner will get a commission
45:38
Right. So as you can see he has affiliate links
45:42
You know everywhere basically, so if you scroll down over here, this is also an affiliate link
45:48
So he lists the top hotels and then he has an affiliate link. So what you can do is you can open that up
45:56
And you can see which website it is. So booking com. Okay. Normally they’ll have an affiliate program on the really bottom
46:04
So perhaps let’s have a look
46:09
Okay, if they don’t show it here or what you can do is you can do booking.com
46:16
And then type in affiliate program
46:20
Okay, and here you can actually sign up for the affiliate program
46:24
Okay
46:26
So that is the first thing to do you can check out, you know
46:30
Your your competitors first and see how they’re making money. For example, this guy the points guy and
46:36
You can also look up here. So normally some blogs that have a resources page and normally on the resources page
46:43
I have all sorts of resources and
46:46
If people click into it and buy that resource, then they’ll get a commission as well
46:50
So for example this one here, if you click on top cards, then you’ll know that you know
46:56
They make a lot of commission from promoting these
46:59
travel
47:01
Cards, okay
47:02
So you can look into
47:04
these cards and see if they offer an affiliate program and sign up for it and then you know you can create content for
47:11
let’s like guides and stuff like that and then you could have
47:15
Promoting, you know, basically these cards. Okay. So if we actually go here and
47:22
You know, if you actually promote more luxury products and destinations like they’re more expensive the hotel per night
47:28
You’re gonna get more Commission
47:30
Okay, so some of the hotels they might be cheaper or budget hotels, but they might have more volume
47:37
So if you talk at those ones, you might not make as much money
47:40
But it might actually make up for that in terms of how many people actually search for that
47:45
So less people are going to search for luxury products
47:48
But the cost of the luxury product is gonna be higher and if you times that by 10% you’re gonna make more money
47:55
Okay. So for example
47:58
You know the keywords that we can
48:00
We can write down here like for example
48:04
What to do in Bali okay things to do in bali
48:11
Right, so if you actually copy that and we actually go to the upper suggest
48:18
Okay what to do in bali
48:20
Can have a look like a CPC is 0.7 is not that high the competition isn’t that high either? Okay, so
48:28
Here you can actually get different ideas for what to actually write about
48:33
Okay, so also best time to visit in Bali best hotels in Bali all sorts of things like that
48:39
So what you can do is now you need to determine okay, which keywords should you write about okay?
48:45
We need to look at the competition first. So how do we do that? Right?
48:49
the first thing that you want to do is check whether or not the keywords that you put in here is in the title of
48:54
The website. Okay. So as you can see things to do in bali, you know, that is all in the title
49:00
They gave things to do things to do in bali. Yes, that’s in title. And
49:04
You can see whether or not you know, the keywords are also in the Meta Description
49:09
Okay, because Google actually scans people’s websites to see whether or not you know
49:14
the content is actually related and it’s gonna be a huge indicator if you know their title is
49:20
that keyword there and also it’s in the Meta Description and whether or not you know, it’s in the
49:27
The content itself. Okay. So then what you do is click into the content and
49:33
what you do is do a ctrl F and
49:36
You can just do a ctrl paste paste that keyword in and you can see how many times that keyword appears on the page
49:43
Okay, so you can see whether or not you know, are they targeting these keywords as you can see it appears four times? Okay, and
49:51
The title here normally is the heading one tag
49:54
so you can right-click and inspect and
49:58
You can see that they have you know, SEO optimized their website. Okay, so you can take a look at all the
50:06
Results here and most of these keywords are medium competition in my opinion
50:11
Because they have it in their title already. So let’s say for example
50:16
You know, you do a random search. Alright, let’s do
50:19
Maybe things to do in Bali with the friends
50:25
Scroll down
50:27
and
50:28
ctrl-f
50:29
paste that in
50:31
with
50:33
friends
50:34
Okay, so you can look at whether or not with friends actually appears in
50:40
The title or within the Meta Description, so as you can see, it doesn’t really appear
50:47
There and also in the content it probably doesn’t really appear as well
50:51
So that will be a lower competition keyword, but I don’t think that many people actually
50:58
Will actually search for something like that so you can actually do a check here
51:01
What you probably want to do is you want to have a decent search for?
51:07
For blog keywords. So at least a thousand searches per month I’d say so things are doing volley with friends
51:13
Okay, so only ten searches for the United States
51:16
So worldwide is probably going to be maybe a hundred searches and not many people are searching for it
51:20
It’s quite a low competition keyword. So that’s gonna be quicker for you to actually rank on Google
51:26
So what we’re gonna do is copy this keyword here. Okay copy that to clipboard and go to a website called
51:34
Semrush com so I have the link down below which gives you a 7-day free trial
51:38
You don’t need your credit card
51:40
I don’t think so and you can sign up for that and you can go to this home page here
51:45
Okay, click on dashboard. And with this tool is gonna speed up the process of finding keywords
51:51
cuz what you can basically do is if you actually click on the keyword analytics he would give a difficulty and
51:59
You can paste in the keyword that you think
52:02
That you want to write something about things to do in bali. You can click on sure difficulty
52:07
Okay, so that’s gonna give you an actual difficulty to actually rank in the organic search rather than the information here
52:14
Which gives you the CPC competition, which is the adwords competition. Okay, so
52:19
adwords competition is an indicator, but this one will give you a sort of a more accurate answer of
52:27
How difficult it is to actually rank that
52:31
Keyword, right? So 70% would be sort of medium-high, and I personally think
52:37
Honestly that will take you more than two months to rank for things to do in Bali. So this is more of a longer-term
52:44
Keyword to actually rank for on your blog. So these keywords have quite a high search volume
52:51
Okay. So this is only just for United States Google. All right, so there are obviously other countries as well
52:58
So this keyword will have quite a lot of searches worldwide. So that’s why it’s sort of difficult
53:03
Okay, so, you know, so what keywords should you target in the short term?
53:08
So in the short term, I personally recommend you do maybe review types of keywords
53:13
Or maybe sometimes there might be like a new product and then you can do a new product review
53:18
Okay
53:19
because sometimes if a new product just came out and there’s a lot of hype around that product and not many people have
53:25
Content ready? Okay, you can be the first one to actually create that content. So
53:30
an example of a review would be let’s say you go to
53:35
TripAdvisor, okay, so if you were a travel blogger and you know
53:40
You you travel to Bali a lot like that. Then you click on the trouble of ranked section here
53:45
And this will give you a ranking of the top sort of
53:49
Hotels in Bali right? So these are the top hotels in Bali and
53:54
You know, a lot of people are probably, you know, searching around reading the reviews and stuff like that
53:59
and what they’ll do is, you know, they probably copy this Viceroy Bali and
54:04
They might you know search that up on Google so they might do a review
54:09
Okay, so these keywords normally don’t have that many people actually targeting so there are two people targeting this
54:18
Blogs and the other ones I think
54:20
Maybe you know directory sort of web sites like TripAdvisor and stuff like that
54:24
so
54:25
These keywords here get less searches, but you know, they’ll rank quicker
54:30
Okay
54:31
so all you really need to do is create article which you know gives more value than
54:36
this this one here and this one here and it’ll be quicker to actually rank for so when I actually did a search in the
54:44
Uber suggests. It didn’t actually give the
54:47
Data here because I don’t think you know doesn’t pull that in
54:51
Okay, so you can actually go to goo word planner, but you actually need to have an active campaign
54:57
I believe so that actually show you how many searches actually gets. Alright, so
55:03
It gets around fifty searches per month. So obviously there are other
55:08
Unrelated keywords. So you might get you know over 100 searches per month for that keyword
55:12
Okay, so it’s not gonna get that many searches but it’s gonna rank a lot quicker
55:17
Okay, and if you are a affiliate like for example, I’m pretty sure that you know
55:24
They probably have affiliate links in the article
55:27
Okay, some some don’t okay, but you can have an affiliate link to the booking website
55:33
Okay, so sometimes for example if you link it here to TripAdvisor
55:38
Then you can get a commission for that. Okay, so that might be one of your short-term keywords
55:46
So basically you would write that down personally if I was like blogging about Bali or you know, a travel blogger
55:52
I’ll have short term keywords medium term and longer term keywords. So normally when you’re actually
55:58
blogging
55:59
It’s sort of like a when you’re sort of like planting the seed
56:03
Okay, and it’s gonna take a while for that, you know plant all those fruits to actually grow
56:10
Okay, so if you actually put in santorini, davia, I want to delete that
56:15
Okay, just have it like that and I’m gonna do a domain overview
56:20
Okay, I’m gonna select USA Google for that
56:22
You’ll see that they have an organic search traffic cost of almost three hundred thousand dollars
56:28
So if we were if they were actually to pay for Google Adwords, it would cost about three hundred thousand dollars per month
56:34
so as you can see, they started their blog, you know in
56:38
2013 and after a while
56:41
Only I think in 2018. I started to grow like a lot
56:45
Okay, so they might have learnt SEO they might have learned that you know writing articles about themselves didn’t work
56:53
They might have targeted more
56:56
different locations expanded on you know
56:59
Things like that and here you can actually see the keywords actually ranking for so you can click on view report
57:06
So you can see which keywords actually ranking for you don’t have to do it manually
57:09
Okay, so it’s gonna give you a ton of different ideas here. You can click on the keyword difficulty sort by that
57:16
Okay, and you can also use the advanced filters here as well. So click on advanced filters so you can do
57:25
For example a search volume. Okay, so it’s only going to show
57:31
keywords, which have more than
57:33
One thousand searches per month if we can apply
57:37
or you could actually
57:39
Filter this by, you know keyword difficulty as well
57:42
So keyword difficulty greater or less than sorry
57:45
Less than fifty and then you can apply you can also add more filters
57:51
On top of that the top of that filter. Okay, so you can see also which pages are ranking
57:57
So for example Mykonos nightlife here
58:01
This keyword here gets gets fifty searches per month
58:05
You can click into here and you can see their article. Okay?
58:11
So when you’re actually creating a blog post, okay?
58:15
You want to create the most thorough blog post that you can for that specific keyword?
58:20
Okay, so imagine that you were I think a lot of people
58:24
Imagine you know blogging or online business. It’s
58:28
It’s different from offline businesses
58:30
But it’s actually the same right the more value you provide the the more money that you’re gonna make alright
58:35
So for example if you were to open a restaurant in this specific area, okay, there are already
58:41
ten restaurants
58:42
Which have this large fries for ten dollars and here is you so you want to sell this fries for ten dollars
58:49
but your content is like very
58:53
Thin so you have like, you know, not very in-depth content and you think you want to rank
58:58
Like it’s not gonna work
58:59
right
59:00
So you’re gonna have to provide more value so you can have a bigger fried-rice here and perhaps even sell for cheaper
59:07
Then people will actually start
59:09
Recommending that restaurant it’s the same thing with online with your blog post
59:13
right
59:13
if you provide more value in your blog post then although bloggers will actually link to you and
59:19
You’ll actually have more backlinks to your website and then you’ll start ranking for your blog, right?
59:26
So you definitely want to create more value?
59:29
in terms of
59:31
You know your blog post and things like that for me personally for each blog post. I would target sort of one
59:39
Primary keyword. So let’s just say I’m gonna target this as a long-term keyword, right?
59:43
So for example things to do in Bali, this is going to be my primary keyword
59:50
So normally for one blog post
59:52
I’ll target one primary keyword and one secondary. So secondary keyword will be something very very similar. So
60:01
things to do in Bali
60:06
Indonesia, okay. So this is the second and then what you do is you’d write
60:13
the blog post
60:15
Okay, so this could be a list or whatever it is. And then you
60:21
Can go through the ubersuggest and then you can do
60:26
Oops, let’s do a refresh here
60:31
And then you can do things to do in Bali
60:36
Okay, click on lookup so what we’re trying to do here is we’re gonna try and incorporate
60:42
some of the
60:44
Related keywords all within one article. Alright. So for example best time to visit in Bali
60:52
Is that related?
60:54
Perhaps, okay, so you could copy that
60:59
For example things to do in bali so best beaches
61:08
And let’s see this time
61:13
Okay, some of these ones can be actually individual blog posts as well
61:17
But some of them you can actually incorporate within the article so they’re going to start ranking
61:25
In Google long term, okay. So for example best things to do in bali, right?
61:29
So if you’re writing about things to do in bali, you can include the keyword best within your article
61:35
Okay, so when google when someone place does a Google search for best thing to do in Bali
61:40
You’re more likely to start ranking for this keyword as well because you’ve got best within your article, right? So
61:48
Let’s have a look here
61:51
Best places in Bali. Okay, so
61:54
example
61:57
Okay, for example you would include places in Bali
62:00
Okay, you don’t have to include it like sort of, you know, you don’t have to force it. You know what I mean?
62:05
So basically once you write your article, you can see where we can actually fit these things in if you don’t have them already
62:13
Alright. So for example, imagine this when you’re writing a blog post imagine that is the actual
62:20
Let’s say a cooking pasta or something like that, right?
62:23
So you cook the pasta first and then you actually, you know, add the seasoning like the salt and the pepper
62:29
Okay, so imagine this as the salt and the pepper you just want to add a little bit
62:33
Okay, where it’s natural if you add too much, there’s gonna be too salty
62:36
But for search engines if you add too much, you’re gonna be over optimizing it and it’s not gonna look good
62:43
For people to actually read. Okay, and you want to create content for the user?
62:48
Okay, not for search engines. So Google actually states that
62:52
Somewhere, but I’m not gonna show you right now. So, you know, it lists all these things here must do in Bali
63:00
Things like that and you can incorporate within
63:04
this one blog post
63:05
okay, so you can cover all these different keywords and
63:08
Over time for example, you’ll be you know ranking for all these random keywords as you can see, you know santorini
63:16
dave does
63:18
so right now I’m gonna go through e-commerce SEO so ecommerce SEO
63:22
I think it’s normally more competitive because you’re targeting buyer
63:27
keywords and
63:29
You know when you’re actually doing e-commerce research and any keyword research is not really black and white
63:35
It’s more gray and you can sorta just it to what you need and what you actually sell and you know
63:41
How you actually want to position your business and things like that. So
63:44
I’m just gonna take an example. For example a a I wanted to start a iPhone
63:51
anything the iPhone accessory, so I’m gonna do some research for iPhone accessories and you know see
63:57
See the landscape and see what I can actually do see which keywords that I actually want to target by looking at the metrics
64:04
So maybe you can get some ideas on how to do yours as well, right?
64:10
So I want to sell iPhone accessories and this is probably the first thing that I would want to you know
64:15
Search up on Google. So I’ll do I phone accessories because I want to look at you know, what are
64:20
My competitors doing for the keywords for their category pages homepage. Also their product pages, right?
64:28
So I want to look at you know, what they’re currently selling and seeing what the opportunity is. Okay, because
64:34
You know
64:35
If you just go into a niche when you’re brand new into a niche where a lot of people are already
64:40
Dominating then maybe you can find something that you know
64:44
not many people are selling but there is decent search volume and then you can focus in on
64:49
Let’s say iPhone cases might be a fairly, you know saturated niche where there’s a lot of competitors
64:55
but you know we can maybe find something else which has to do with iPhone accessories or some kind of
65:02
accessories for your phone and
65:04
We can see
65:06
you know what we can actually target for the short term for ranking and maybe
65:10
You know for the long term you can start ranking for iPhone cases
65:13
All right, so, you know, I’ll just look through everything here. Like for example, I would jot down everything
65:20
I’ll open up a text pad
65:24
Let’s just change the size
65:27
You know phone cases I’ll just quickly write all these things down
65:32
wired phone
65:36
Charges
65:40
You’ve got mounts
65:43
You got Bluetooth headsets
65:49
What else have we got
65:51
Yeah, I think that’s that’s all we need. Okay
65:54
So those are all the things that you know are related to what I want to sell
65:58
Okay, maybe I don’t want to sell speaker phones and I don’t want to you know
66:02
Put that in. Okay, because it’s not a product fit. Okay?
66:06
So once we have that then what we can do is we can copy that and then we can go to
66:13
Buber suggest so let’s go to bursa. Jest. Okay type that into Google
66:20
It’s a free keyword tool it’s probably not
66:23
Sometimes it doesn’t work as well as a Google Keyword planner, but with Google Keyword planner you need to actually have an active account
66:30
So when you actually doing keyword research, you want to start off locally or wherever you sell. Okay, so
66:35
From experience, you know if you’re starting off an e-commerce store you haven’t started yet
66:39
I recommend starting off locally first and then expanding because you know, there are a lot of taxes
66:44
You know customs and all those sort of things when you’re still international. So and you also get more
66:51
Preference in ranking as well. Okay, so we’ve got the keywords here thrown cases
66:56
what I want to do is maybe do let’s do our
67:00
phone
67:03
Mounts, okay, so we’d get some keyword ideas to see you know
67:07
What is the search volume for this specific keyword and also maybe can I can get some other ideas for the other things as well?
67:14
Okay, because right now we want to do just a broad keyword research to see you know
67:19
What categories are we gonna target and things like that?
67:21
So here this is the search volume per month. CPC is cost per click. So
67:27
For people who are advertising on Adwords if people actually click into the AdWords
67:32
Result then they have to pay Google
67:35
1.34. Okay, this gives an indication how competitive the landscape is for organic search
67:40
But it’s not a accurate one because this is for the competition for the AdWords, but normally if it’s more expensive then
67:49
It would mean that the organic will be quite competitive, right because the organic search is free
67:54
Okay, so we’re gonna search by the volume here
67:58
Generally, what I look for is
68:00
Anything above you know, 100 searches, okay
68:04
It really depends on the niche, but it also depends on you know, maybe sometimes you can actually you know
68:11
Put two keywords together. Okay, and they all add up to about a thousand searches
68:15
Okay, so, you know sometimes when it’s below that then you know
68:18
I might just take note of that and I might put the keyword into here
68:23
Because you know when you’re actually looking at all these keywords
68:26
You want to try and group them together, right? So for example, you know you’re looking at iPhone car. Hold on
68:33
Okay, so let’s have a look
68:36
iPhone car holder
68:38
um, you’ve got
68:42
Magnetic phone holder
68:47
So we want to sort of group these together this might just copy that
68:55
Format for car I
69:00
Phone car holder do I have that ready? Yep. We’ve also got I’ve heard comments
69:10
We’ve also got I’ve heard mounts for cars so
69:16
I’m gonna go filter just by with keywords which which have iPhone in them. Okay, let’s have a look. I
69:25
Furred tripod mounts I prefer mounts for tripods
69:29
Okay, so you can start looking at you know
69:32
What products you could actually sell so we want to check the landscape for all these keywords?
69:39
So I put mounts for tripod we’ve also got mounting iPhone on tripod
69:49
IPhone car cradle
69:53
You sort of want to jot these down because you know
69:56
You can actually use these keywords within sort of one page or one category
70:01
You just you know have to have that keyword within the description
70:06
Or the body of that page so that when google scans your page then okay then and they can see that
70:12
These keywords are related to what the user is searching for so you can start ranking for longtail keywords. Okay, so here of God
70:22
Okay, so got specific
70:24
specific models
70:26
Okay
70:27
So, how much is do you like?
70:29
seven eight
70:31
X
70:32
Okay, so I look through here best offer and hold up for car. Okay, sometimes when you see keywords like this
70:39
Okay, these ones are
70:41
More informational keywords, right so informational these are good for blog post
70:47
Okay, and blog posts are important for an e-commerce store because you can drive, you know more brand awareness to your store
70:54
normally people would link to blog post and
70:57
There are quite a few keywords, which have really high search volume as well
71:01
so you can build a lot of brand awareness and you can actually
71:04
Use that blog post and link it back to your product. Okay, because
71:09
Normally people aren’t going to link to your product directly right unless you are a affiliate and normally that won’t be a nofollow link anyway
71:16
Normally people will link to like a resource sort of page. Okay. So what you can do is you can have that blog post and
71:23
Can get links for that blog post and then you can transfer that link juice to your product pages
71:29
Okay and over time it’s gonna help your overall site Authority and help it actually rank. Okay for the more competitive keywords
71:37
So there’s so many different keywords here. You want to jot them down and sort of get an idea
71:43
okay, so I’m gonna target let’s say
71:46
IPhone con. Hold on. Okay, let’s just start from the top and
71:51
You can actually just do a normal Google search so I’m gonna show you the manual method first
71:58
So you want to look through and you want to do a ctrl F taste that in? Okay, so
72:04
To see how competitive it is. We can check the title. Like do people actually include iPhone car holders in the title of the website
72:14
Okay
72:15
so not that many okay, but they do have
72:19
different variations of that within
72:21
their
72:22
their title and also their description
72:26
To me doesn’t look that competitive. I would say it would be a low low to medium
72:32
Competitiveness. I’m just from you know, looking at the title looking at the descriptions and things like that
72:37
I’m gonna click into some of them. So you want to have a look as well
72:43
Okay, just have a little sneak peek
72:46
Okay, so this is a more of a blog post
72:49
This one is a local website in Australia
72:54
Okay, it doesn’t look too bad
72:57
Okay. This one looks pretty good
72:59
which I really like so I’m gonna
73:01
Save this URL here. Okay, so when you’re actually doing keyword research, it’s more of a overall
73:09
Research as well. You want to look at this strategy as well and get inspiration? Okay, so, you know look through here
73:19
Okay, it’s an eBay page
73:20
And if you actually look at the eBay listings
73:23
Like you can also give you some ideas of what keywords to target as well like magnets karhold amounts. Okay, and
73:31
here
73:33
This one is a bit all over the place. But you know, it’s a it’s not a like an eBay type of website
73:39
So I’m gonna copy that down as well
73:41
alright, so
73:43
What you can also do is download the Moz bar and create a free account and that’s going to give you
73:50
The page or authority and also domain authority of each page
73:54
Okay, so you can actually look through
73:57
Normally, I like to look for you know
74:00
Page authority of around 30 or so domain authority around 30 or so. Okay. So these ones all quite high
74:09
but
74:13
This one here is quite low okay eighteen, okay, so that gives me
74:17
some idea of
74:19
You know whether or not I can rank that or not, but it does have a few backlinks to that page
74:23
Okay, so my guess is that this this one is a bit new this website
74:29
These ones are quite old
74:32
Okay page Authority of 30
74:34
Okay, so it does look I say, you know medium competition I’d say okay just from the look of it. So
74:41
This might be a potential
74:43
Keyword to target, right? So what you can also do is
74:49
Go to a website called SM rush. I have a link down below and that gives you a 7-day free trial
74:54
So sign up for that so we’ve got some
74:57
Competitors websites here as well. So we get the competitors website and we can actually plug it into here
75:02
You want to delete the front section like that? Okay, and the dot click on search?
75:08
so what’s good about this is
75:10
You get all the keywords that your competitors are actually ranking for and you actually get the keywords which is bringing them the traffic
75:16
Okay, so you want to search for?
75:19
Local okay. So for example, I’m in Australia and you want to scroll down to the top organic keyword section
75:25
Click on view report and you can see all the keywords that they’re actually ranking for
75:29
So this is also going to give you even more ideas, right? So they’re ranking for iPad stand
75:35
So I’m gonna drop them down. Okay, so this is like a really really broad research face. So I’ve had
75:44
Stand and I fern
75:48
Tripod okay. So these ones are getting decent amount of searches and it’s getting quite a lot of traffic to those pages as well
75:55
so you’ve also got
75:57
I’ve heard
75:58
by
75:59
mounts
76:01
You’ve also got iPad car headdress new mounts here. There’s a copy try to copy that
76:11
Okay, and
76:12
What you can actually do is you can actually see what page they actually have for these ones as well. So iPad stand
76:20
We’re gonna click into that
76:22
the iPhone tripod
76:25
Okay
76:26
Click into that as well
76:29
IPad tripod mounts. Okay, so I’m assuming that one actually links to the same same URL
76:36
Okay, so those ones are both the same
76:40
Okay, it looks right here
76:42
Okay, so there are link king. They getting quite a lot of
76:47
searches for the iPad Cobb mounts and also the the tripods
76:53
Okay, so it actually looks like you know, they’ve actually thought about the SEO strategy when in terms of ranking
77:00
Okay, because if you actually look at the website here, they actually target the keyword. They actually have one
77:06
product page rather than having like a huge listing and I think this is quite smart because
77:12
You know, for example this one here
77:14
This sells every single thing and you don’t know which one to pick right?
77:18
It just looked way too confusing but this one is very very targeted
77:21
So I’m guessing this one will convert much higher and you can you can create content
77:26
Targeting specific keywords, okay
77:29
within that
77:31
So while looking at that?
77:34
Okay
77:36
Then what we can do is get the iPad stand. Okay, and
77:40
I like to use a tool called kW finder. Okay, the is also below as well. So as you can see I’ve checked that out
77:48
Do a search for iPad stand again in Australia
77:51
So it gives a ranking of 37 out a hundred which is still easy to rank
77:56
Ok, so that might be a potential, you know product that I want a manufacturer or a product
78:04
That I want a source. Ok, because I can actually rank for that keyword
78:09
Sometimes you might want to target like iPad cases or iPhone cases, you know, those ones are probably more competitive. So
78:16
so you can still target those but you just have to have a longer time perspective right so you can
78:22
target these ones first for a short term short to medium term and
78:25
Then you can work on the more competitive ones like iPad cases and things like that
78:30
So for example iPad stands, you sorta also want to jot down all the keywords as well. Right? It’s like for example
78:38
IPad stand might be my primary keyword
78:41
okay, but within that article you might want to include some secondary keywords as well, right, so
78:48
Secondary keywords might be let so look I’ve had stand Holder might be one
78:57
Maybe you know iPad pro
79:02
You know Mini
79:06
True
79:07
it depends it really depends cuz you want to figure out do you actually want to have one iPad stand or
79:13
Do you want to have an iPad stand for each model and target each model? So we have to look at that
79:20
Best so you might include the keyword best within there some somewhere
79:25
Let’s have a look
79:29
You can also filter by search as well here. Okay. So let’s just say that’s that’s one one page
79:35
all right, so that’s for one page and
79:39
What you can do is you can either
79:41
Create a category
79:44
Okay. So for example, okay, so you’ve got let’s say this is your homepage and
79:49
You’ve got different categories here
79:52
so C for category
79:56
Okay, and what you can do is you can have the category called iPad stands
80:04
So this one might be iPad and
80:07
Then within that category you’ll have different variations of that stand
80:13
okay, so you might have a stand for the
80:16
iPad pro
80:18
so iPad pro you might have one for the mini or
80:24
You might want to have you might have one for the air or you could just have for example iPad stands as the product
80:32
Itself, like right here. Okay, and
80:35
For example right here. Okay iPad pivot stand and it will actually suit sort of any any iPad
80:42
okay, because
80:44
This one here. You just need to put that onto the thing. You just need to get the
80:49
The actual casing for it and then you can fit it on to anyone, right?
80:53
so as you can see here on the back, okay, so you probably need a
80:58
casing for that and
81:00
This stand here
81:02
It just connects to the back so it can fit any iPad
81:05
So you can just target that as a you know as a products itself
81:10
okay, so it really depends on what strategy you want to do, but I like this strategy because
81:16
You know if you have you know hundreds and hundreds of different products
81:20
it’s going to be quite hard to write unique descriptions and
81:23
to really beat the
81:25
Competition in terms of the content that you have on the page and also the sales page because you are hundreds of description to do
81:32
Okay, so let’s go and look at our iPhone
81:35
car mounts
81:37
Okay, this one’s really good as well
81:41
This one looks really good
81:46
Okay, so as you can see they’ve got the case and they’ve got the I think that is a magnetic probably
81:53
Okay, so it’s a magnetic
81:55
So you can work on any iPhone. Okay, so as you can see they’ve got content sections here
82:01
Targeting keywords. Okay. So for example what I saw was
82:05
You know, there’s also different keywords here. For example, let’s do I pad stands
82:11
Okay, I’ve had stands and then do a lookup. Okay gets about three thousand searches per month
82:17
here we’re going to
82:22
Filter it by iPad stand. Okay. Okay, so there is also I pad stands for bed
82:28
That’s what people are searching for iPad stand on bed iPad stands for bed
82:32
Okay, so there’s a lot of people who are looking for iPad stands for bed
82:36
That they can use in bed or I’ve had stand for a point-of-sale machine
82:41
so so what you can actually do is you
82:46
Can have that within that product page as well, okay, so iPad stand for point of sale
82:55
IPad stand for bed like if your products can actually solve that need so you can be used for a point-of-sale machine or
83:01
It can you be used for bed, then you might want to target that as a whole entire page. Okay?
83:07
So for example here in your description here, you might have you know
83:11
you can use this embed as well again have a picture of someone using it in bed and
83:16
Having a description here. Okay, or you can target it
83:20
individually, okay, so let’s just do a
83:23
Google search so iPad stands for bed
83:28
So you can click into the first results have a look
83:36
Okay, okay, I’m gonna check the competitiveness for this keyboard
83:46
Give it a little such
83:50
Kate so it’s hot a little bit hotter iPad. Hold off the bed. Let’s do it search volume here
84:03
Tell look
84:05
Okay, so it’s still possible
84:08
Based on the results here. So a lot of Amazon listings
84:13
Okay, so I think it’s still possible Kindle holder for bed watch iPad in bed table mount for bed
84:22
All these are really important for longtail keyword searches, okay, so you might want to jot down whatever is relevant to what product you’re selling
84:30
Because you know when you’re writing in description, you can include that within there because it’s gonna start ranking for those keywords as well
84:37
okay, so
84:39
Let’s do a ipod stands for point of sale
84:44
Do a quick little search okay, so this one’s a little bit easier so
84:51
Let’s do our parts I’ve had stand for point of sale
84:58
Okay, so that looks easy to do okay, so this one probably doesn’t have that many searches
85:06
Let’s have a look
85:10
See if it actually use a
85:12
Number here. If not, you might want to check out Google Adwords Keyword
85:16
planner
85:18
Okay, so about a hundred and seventy searches per per month, you know, that’s not too bad. Maybe you could have a look here
85:27
I’m gonna filter a by point of sale, okay?
85:30
Okay, so iPad point-of-sale iPad point-of-sale system iPad stand for point of sale. Let’s have a look
85:36
Okay iPod stand for point of sale
85:40
Okay, this one here
85:43
So that might be the primary you might have a secondary keyword I pad point yourself hold on
85:51
Okay, if you add all these up you might come up to quite a few hundred searches per month
85:56
so it might be worth, you know creating a specific product for
86:00
Point of sales. Okay iPad Mini point-of-sale
86:05
You know, so so that might be a keyword as well I’ve had stands for point of sale
86:11
Okay, and then you might have one I’ve had stands for bit
86:15
Okay
86:17
So let’s do this in here, let’s find some secondary keywords for this
86:22
I’ll get into there
86:24
so it does take some time to actually
86:26
You know think and research you sort of have to dig through the data and sort of use your use your you know
86:33
Common sense of what you can actually do and you know what strategies you can actually use iPod stands for bed
86:40
that’s not too bad two hundred searches and
86:42
Let’s just do filter by results. We’re gonna go
86:46
so I’ve got
86:48
IPod stands, but bed. We’ve also got iPad holder for bed
86:54
This one’s a little bit more searches, okay, so it’s gonna put it into here
87:01
Do a little search okay, so probably a little bit more competitive than iPod Stanford bed because it does get more searches as well
87:09
So we’re gonna go back here. So
87:13
IPod stand and iPod stands tablet holder for bed, okay
87:19
You might want to jot that down as well because you might include, you know tablet within the article within the description. Sorry
87:26
I’ve had bed stand Australia
87:29
Okay
87:30
That’s not too bad. You might include Australia like you might be like, okay. We’re an Australian based company and things like that. I
87:39
Bought a whole bed tablet stand for bed
87:45
Okay, so these are all important
87:49
Okay, so people are searching for you know watching movies in bed, so this is gonna give you an idea of
87:56
The sort of description that you want to write
87:58
Okay, so you might have someone watching a movie or Netflix in bed using the iPad stand?
88:04
Okay, because this is what people want to do with it. Okay?
88:08
So that’s an important thing to know
88:11
We can actually look for okay for better so far. Okay, so you can also
88:16
Include sofa in there like you can tell them that okay, not only you can use it for bed
88:20
But you can also use it on the sofa as well
88:23
Let’s see
88:25
Flexible tablet holder for bed
88:28
Yeah, so hopefully you get an idea of okay reading as well. So reading in bed. So that’s what they want to do
88:36
Okay, hopefully get an idea of how to do that research. And for example I started from
88:42
very broad, you know iPhone accessories and
88:46
Then I started getting a little bit more in-depth. Okay, then I sort of found out
88:50
Okay, these are some of the competitors or some competitors
88:53
Which I really like which are similar size to me because I’m not gonna try and compete with Amazon, right?
88:58
So now I found you know, three different keywords, which I sort of want to target iPad stands
89:03
iPad stands for point of sale
89:06
iPad stands for bed
89:08
So maybe I might create a specific category for this
89:12
Okay, like iPods iPad stands and then I have specific product for each, you know use okay?
89:18
Because for bed it’s a little bit different. Okay, so you might want to like for example
89:23
Let’s do I better stand for bed. Okay
89:27
It’s sort of like that connected but normally a point of sale is normally
89:32
Connected just to the table. Okay, so they’re different products if we actually draw it out. Okay iPad stands
89:40
We’ve got iPad stands for
89:43
bed and
89:45
Rub this out. This one is for point of sale
89:50
Like that and then you could have different categories here as well. Okay, so this one might be you know iPhone
89:58
Comm outs
90:00
you know, you might have that as
90:02
One product which can be suited for all high phones
90:06
okay, or you can have iPhone compounds as the category and then you can have
90:12
Specific ones for each model. Okay. So iPhone comments you might have ones which
90:20
Just connect to the event of the event and you might have one that connects to the D window
90:28
Okay
90:31
You might have some kind of rotatable 360 rotatable one
90:38
Okay
90:39
Something like that
90:41
okay, so
90:42
That is pretty much how I do keyword research I used uber
90:47
Suggest okay as has sort of expanding my ideas and also looking for longtail keywords. So this tool is for free and
90:55
then I also use
90:58
KW finder to check the keyword difficulty. I think this one is the best to use. It’s like very easy to understand
91:04
okay, so as you can see here and
91:07
You can actually click into each one and they’ll take you to the page so you can see you know
91:12
Whether or not you can beat it or not sometimes
91:14
You know a lot of times that you might have competitors which are targeting the same keywords. That’s fine
91:18
Just have it longer time horizon for it. Alright, so SEM rush, which is this one here
91:25
This one is really good to actually
91:27
look at a
91:29
Competitor, which is bigger than you but like not too big like Amazon or something like that and you can actually see which keywords are
91:35
working for them and
91:36
How they’ve created their and structured their pages so it’s gonna give you a really really good idea
91:41
And for example this one here, this one here is a bit messy
91:45
You know, if you look at it, it’s just all over the place. I’m not sure if maybe they’re trying to target, you know
91:52
Like different keywords for each different product, but for me
91:55
there’s just way too hard to actually pick up products and I guess I don’t like that one and
92:00
What you can actually do is you can on competitors
92:03
You can see what competitors they have. Okay, so these are some similar competitors. So for example they have
92:11
A cron I’m not quite sure what that one is
92:16
So you can click into these ones and you know have a look at
92:21
What keywords these people are ranking for? Okay, so a cron calm, let’s just do a quick little look
92:29
So you might find competitors which didn’t really even know existed okay, so this one is rock form I
92:35
think these ones might be quite new and
92:39
Normally up here. You’ll find the really good category
92:43
Keywords to target because you want to target things which people actually searching for so normally people have already done that for you
92:49
I’m just by looking up here. You don’t want to go random. Okay, and you don’t want to go and target keywords, which is
92:57
You know way too competitive. Okay, you can but you just have to have a longer time horizon. Okay?
93:04
So let’s have a look
93:08
Okay, so that’s gonna give you some more ideas of what you can actually target and you can do keyword research for each of these
93:14
different keywords
93:16
Okay
93:16
And you sort of want to have a primary keyword and then you sort of want to have some several secondary keywords
93:22
And you sort of want to also look for things which people are searching for so you can actually include that in the description
93:28
Okay
93:28
So it’s gonna help you sell more because people are looking
93:32
To have an iPod iPad stand in their bed so they can watch a movie
93:36
So you can show people watching a movie in bed or reading in bed and that’s gonna help you convert and make sales
93:41
Okay, so that’s pretty much it for ecommerce keyword research. The links are down below for the things I actually use now
93:48
I’m gonna be covering on-page SEO and actually how to use yours SEO and optimize your pages on page
93:55
Okay, so now I’m gonna show you how to optimize
93:59
your website using the keywords that we have found for our local website our
94:04
Blogging website and also for a ecommerce store, okay
94:08
So the first thing that you’ll need to do is if you’re using WordPress is we need to actually download
94:13
and install a plug-in called Yoast so you want to go back to the dashboard of your website and
94:19
You want to click on plugins?
94:24
Then what you want to do is you want to click on add new and then you want to search for Yoast and
94:30
You want to install that plug-in?
94:33
Okay, and once you’ve installed it then you need to activate it
94:37
Once you’ve done that and then you should have installed your yours plug-in, which is here
94:41
Okay, then we can go to general. So this is the plug-in and I can show you how to configure it
94:47
So I click on the open configuration wizard again, and then here you can configure it just by clicking that
94:54
option a
94:56
selected click on next so select what type of website that you’re running you might be a blog an online shop or a
95:03
small offline business or you can select
95:07
Something else. Okay. So I’m gonna select this one now click on next and then
95:14
Here just put your name doesn’t really matter click on next
95:17
ok, so here you can actually put in your social media profiles as well if you have them and
95:23
Once you’ve done that click on next here, generally, I’ll leave everything as default. So
95:28
What is asking you is do you want search engines to actually show your blog post pages?
95:36
This is something to do with the theme layouts. I don’t want that to be shown
95:40
Okay, so that will be known and know and products. I want it to be. Yes. Ok. Click on next here
95:46
Do you have multiple authors?
95:48
So for example WordPress, you can actually have you know different people managing your website and then if you do then you can select
95:55
Yes, but I’m gonna select no for now. Click on next here
95:59
What you want to do is you want to connect it with the Google search console. So
96:04
Basically, what you’ll need to do is you will need to add your website to the search console and then you need to authenticate it
96:12
ok, so
96:13
Basically, we’re gonna open this in a new tab. Ok here is instructions on how to do it
96:18
So click on Google search console. And then what you want to do is you want to add a property
96:25
Okay, so we’re gonna copy over our URL here
96:31
Paste it in there. Okay, so if I’ve actually installed the WordPress on
96:35
This extension. Okay, because I’ve actually got something on the main domain
96:40
So normally yours one would be your name comm again click on add and then it basically needs you to actually verify the ownership
96:48
Okay. So what you can actually do is you can download this HTML file and
96:54
What you need to do is you’ll need to actually upload the file to your website servers
96:59
Okay
96:59
So you need to do this by actually going into your cpanel and uploading this file there or you can click on alternate methods
97:06
Okay, so you can actually add a meta tag to your site’s home page. Alright, so what you can do is click on that and
97:14
then for example here copy the meta tag below so I’m gonna copy that and
97:21
You want to go to the head section of your website or before the first body section of your website and then click on?
97:28
verify ok, once you’ve actually done that so
97:31
What we’re gonna do is I’m actually going to go
97:35
To my dashboard so I’m gonna copy that open that in a new tab
97:40
Head to the dashboard section and what you want to do is for example my theme and normally for most people’s websites
97:48
You click on the theme settings and normally in the theme settings you’re able to actually add in the header code
97:55
Okay, so look for that wherever it is
97:58
okay, and then you can go back here copy that and then
98:04
You can paste that in okay
98:06
and then click on save right or you’ll have to go to I think appearance and then you have to go to
98:12
customize or editor
98:13
but when you actually do that when you actually update the theme it might actually override it so you might need to
98:18
Create a child theme or something like that so we can go to
98:22
The header I think
98:25
Not quite sure because I normally just put it into
98:28
There. Okay. So as you can see here the head section
98:32
Here and here I put in the code into there. Okay, sir
98:37
Because I’ve already saved it in my theme settings and it’s gonna appear here
98:41
But this is where you can paste it in for yourself if you don’t have that actual section on your website. All right
98:48
Once again, you’ve done that then you can go to here and click on verify
98:53
Hopefully that has been verified and then you can click on continue
98:57
so with your actual search console, it’s gonna take a while to
99:01
Update everything. Okay. So what its gonna do it’s also going to give you basically you know, what?
99:07
Keywords, people are typing in to actually reach your website so you can actually optimize your pages even more
99:13
Okay, select your profile click on next here. Your website name is gonna be your brand name
99:19
So I’m gonna call it logo for now the title separator. This is basically I
99:25
Mean, let’s just go the iconic
99:28
Okay, so this is a ecommerce store. So this is the separator so they use a line
99:33
Some websites. They use lines some web sites. They use let’s say maybe let’s go to Apple and see what they use
99:41
and
99:42
See, okay. So for example Wikipedia, they just use a dash. So it’s really up to you. It doesn’t really matter
99:48
Click on next and here you can sign up for any updates and things like that
99:52
I’m not gonna sign up and then I’m gonna click on next
99:55
Okay here I’m gonna click on next and basically you’ve done the basic optimizations for it. Okay, so we’re actually gonna
100:03
Optimize it even further for each page. So we’re gonna close. So what we’re gonna do is optimize our homepage
100:10
so I’m gonna click on pages and
100:12
Then I’m gonna select my homepage here. So I’m gonna click into my homepage
100:16
Okay. So right now I’m actually using the themify builder
100:20
So you might be using a different theme but you should have this yo section below when you actually scroll down here
100:26
So for example, my target keyword is going to be carpet cleaning in Melbourne
100:31
What you want to do is you want to edit that snippet?
100:34
So you want to have your title as close as to the front as possible?
100:37
okay, sometimes it’s not possible, especially if it’s like a blog post, you know, if
100:42
It is a blog post and it doesn’t really matter. You can have some keywords in front
100:45
But if it’s like carpet cleaning in Melbourne, and you can have there then have it in front
100:50
Okay, rather than having your your brand name at the front. So that’s what you want to do first
100:55
All right. So I put a separator here and I also put fast same-day service
101:01
So when you actually do SEO title you want people to actually click into it as well. So that’s why I added fast same-day service
101:09
You want to look at maybe the top ten so let’s do carpets
101:14
Cleaning in
101:15
Melbourne and you want to scroll through the results?
101:19
Okay, so you don’t really want the same as everyone else because if it’s the same then you know
101:24
Why are people gonna click into your one? Okay, so I really like this one get a free pretreatment
101:29
So it makes it sort of clickable
101:31
Okay, so it’s gonna give you a higher click-through rate and in turn it’s gonna rank you higher
101:36
Okay
101:37
Especially if if people click into it and they actually stay for a long time
101:41
Then it’s gonna increase your ranking
101:42
So you do want to put in something that you know?
101:45
People are gonna click on so for example these ones here three rooms for $56. That’s really good
101:51
Okay, so we want to differentiate a little bit
101:54
My one is gonna be fast same-day service and I used the keyword service as well because you know carpet cleaning
102:01
Services is also a keyword, which also gets quite a few searches
102:06
Every month, this is my main keyword
102:08
okay, so I want to include something that someone might search for and Google might start ranking me for okay, so
102:16
here for your Meta Description
102:18
You do want to include the keyword in here as well
102:21
It doesn’t have to be exact
102:22
But you also again you also want to make sure that this one is optimized for people to actually click into alright
102:29
So a good way to do it is if you actually go here
102:34
Normally, you’ll see some Google Adwords up here. Alright, so these ones are really really optimized
102:40
So as you can see, you can take some inspiration from here people have got free quotes
102:46
40% off it’s free things like that. Call us
102:49
So you want to take some inspiration use some of the keywords and include it into your own Meta Description?
102:55
While also having your keyword in here, okay?
102:59
So that’s really important and you can also put in your focus keyword in here. Okay, so
103:05
When you actually put your focus keyword in here the Yoast plug-in will actually help you try to you know
103:12
Optimize and it will go through its own checklist and it’ll help you optimize it, okay
103:17
So as you can see, it says the focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy
103:22
Okay. So on the actual content of the website, we haven’t actually added that to
103:28
The first paragraph. Okay. You don’t have to get every single one, correct?
103:32
But try to get like 80 to 90% of them optimized
103:35
so once you’ve actually done that, okay, so you can actually let’s click into the home page and see to see how I’ve actually
103:43
Structured it. All right
103:44
so what you do want to do is you want to also make sure that if
103:49
You have a URL here. You want to check your permalink? So let’s go to the dashboard section again and
103:55
Let’s just say let’s just say we hover over here and click on
104:01
This one here upholstery cleaning, okay, you want the
104:06
keyword in the sort of the URL structure as well
104:09
Okay, so to make sure that is set in you want to make sure that you’ve set the permalinks on in WordPress
104:16
okay, so hover over settings click on permalinks and
104:20
What you want to do is you want to select post name here. So it actually includes the
104:25
post and also the page title within the URL
104:28
Okay, you don’t want something like equals P equals one, two, three because if people are looking through that on
104:35
The search engines it’s not going to be very clean. So we’re gonna go back here
104:39
Let’s go back to our home page and make sure you set that in and click on Save Changes
104:44
So the next thing you want to do is for your main keyword you want to set that in as your heading one tag?
104:51
okay, so I’m actually using a
104:53
themify builder and it’s a drag-and-drop builder, but most cases that you should be using a
104:59
Front-end builder these days. Anyway, like Elementor or anything like that
105:02
Anyways, what you want to do is you want to make sure that the it sets heading 1, okay
105:07
so as I said before Google is actually going to scan your website and the heading 1 tag is
105:13
One of the most important tags it tells Google what this is it going to be about
105:17
Okay, so if you actually go to text tap here, it’s wrapped in the heading one tag
105:22
alright
105:23
so that’s the first thing that you want to do and
105:26
Then you want to sort of include keywords within the text of the website
105:32
so what we’ve actually got here is
105:35
Okay, this is the document that I typed up here before
105:39
my target keyword is carpet cleaning in Melbourne and
105:42
my secondary keywords are you know carpet cleaning services and couple cleaning services in Melbourne and
105:50
Also, I want to include carpet cleaners as well. Okay, because
105:54
sometimes when people are searching they’re searching for they’re using different keywords and
106:00
if I’m including some of these cleaner
106:03
Keywords in here and also adding in like cheapest quality experts best affordable
106:09
These are some of the things that people are searching for as well
106:11
So over time it’s gonna start ranking for you know
106:15
Cheap carpet cleaning services in Melbourne as well because you’ve actually got that keyword within the content itself
106:21
Okay, you do you do want to do it like really naturally, okay
106:25
so what you want to do is you want to write out everything as you would if you’re
106:29
Explaining your services to a friend or something like that. And then you want to sort of sprinkle the keywords in here, right?
106:35
So as you can see here, it’s very natural. Right so carpet cleaning in Melbourne
106:39
This one is you know, we ensure your cupboards are clean fresh and staying free at it at an affordable cost. It’s very natural
106:45
It’s not very forced. Like I’m I’m not trying to keyword stuff it in here
106:49
It’s very natural when you’re scrolling down it lists the services here
106:54
okay, so I used the title cobble cleaning services, and I also try to
106:59
Just write it out first. Okay, once you’ve write it out, then you can adjust it
107:03
So write that out first you can also include a process here and then you know if I’ve included here for example
107:11
You’ll see that
107:14
We give our best competitive quote, okay, so I’ve got that keyword best in there
107:18
We’ve also got experts in there and things like that. Okay, so scrolling down here
107:23
Okay, you want to include maybe some testimonials so for that I included rated one of Melbourne cheapest quality
107:31
Carpet cleaners. So that is another keyword that I added in and
107:36
The testimonials that you add on your website, they also count that as well. Okay. So Google is gonna
107:42
Look at your page source code. Okay and scan the content on your website, right?
107:50
Then you want to scroll down
107:52
what I like to do for a local website is definitely have a call to action on the bottom because you know once people are
107:58
Happy with what they see
107:59
Then you want to include a call to action where they, you know, give you a free quote or call you
108:05
that’s going to help with your
108:08
Sort of usability ratings. So if we actually go here you want to scroll down here
108:14
You also want to include your contact details
108:18
Normally in the footer section or you can also have have it in your header section here
108:23
You also want to have your address and email
108:26
okay, so I like to put it in the foot up because that’s gonna appear on every single page and it’s gonna allow people to
108:34
especially for a local website allow people to know where you actually locate it really easily that’s gonna increase the user experience, right and
108:42
normally, I have my footer down here and
108:45
Normally, if you have different services you want to have the services on the top like that in a drop-down you want your website to?
108:53
Be easy to navigate for people, okay?
108:55
So these are all my main keywords, which I’m targeting as well and I’ve included them up here. Okay?
109:00
I’ve also included links to them on the home page
109:03
so this is called internal linking and
109:06
That basically is not only gonna help, you know, the customers to browse through specific sections
109:12
But it also tells Google that’s that you’re also linking to other pages. Which gives
109:18
Sort of link juice to these other pages and it’ll help these other pages rank highly as well. So I’m not really quite sure
109:25
If you understand that properly because if you actually have a home page
109:29
right
109:30
A lot of people are viewing that home page and some people are linking to that homepage for example on local directories
109:36
Your homepage is going to have a lot of link juice. Okay, you want to pass that link juice down to
109:42
the
109:43
Secondary keywords, which you are targeting for example these other pages
109:47
Okay, and that in turn is going to help these websites also rank higher
109:51
okay, because when you actually
109:52
You know building backlinks when you’re actually putting it into local directory websites or any other websites
109:58
You’re probably most likely going to put your homepage right rather than rather than this upholstery cleaning page, right?
110:05
So this pages doesn’t have much link juice. So
110:08
This one has a lot of link juice. You want to pass it down?
110:11
Okay, so that’s one of the ways you can do it and that is pretty much it. So
110:16
Some other things that you want to also want to do is let’s say if you have some images on your page
110:22
right if you have images on your page, let’s just
110:26
for example
110:28
Click on the options here
110:30
Styling background. Alright, so you also want to name your images as well. Okay. So for example, I
110:39
Uploaded this image this background image. And before I uploaded it. I actually named it
110:44
Okay, I named it Carpet Cleaners in Melbourne. Okay
110:48
So Google is also going to scan that as well because Google can’t really read what your image is about. At least not yet
110:54
So when you actually put in you know this as your file name
110:58
Then Google will sort of know and understand what your website is about
111:01
Okay, so that’s what you want to do. If you actually let’s say if you have let’s say just have a normal picture
111:07
All right, so let’s drop in a image module here
111:12
What you can also do is you can also add an image, alt tag
111:16
so whatever this image is, it might be let’s say
111:20
someone cleaning the
111:22
carpet so it might be
111:25
Carpet dry cleaning or something like that. Okay, and
111:29
Google will also look at the keyword for your old tag as well
111:32
So you want to put in any related keywords in here, which is related to that image as well
111:37
so if it’s like a
111:39
You know a dry cleaning sort of image you want to put something related to that. You don’t want to be like something round
111:45
okay, so make sure that is done and
111:49
What you also want to do is you want to make sure that you do have you know a unique selling proposition as well
111:55
Okay, not only do you want to optimize your website you you actually want to sell people?
112:00
okay, so that’s why it’s important to have your processes testimonials and
112:04
Everything like that. Okay, so you don’t really have to have everything perfect. Okay, because
112:09
Google will sort of scan your website and they’ll understand what your website is about
112:14
Okay, so it’s sort of like as I said before it’s like, you know
112:18
Once you have – once you have written the content then you add
112:22
And sprinkle your website with these keywords, like don’t overdo it
112:25
Okay, if you overdo it, it’s like salt it’s gonna become too salty and it’s not gonna be good
112:30
So that is pretty much it for the on-page SEO for local websites. Okay
112:36
It’s very similar for a blogger and also an ecommerce store. But I also go through that as well
112:41
So let’s go through that. I’m gonna close this. Now. What you want to do is you want to add a blog post?
112:48
Okay, so I already added a blog post things to do in Bali
112:52
Okay, so this is the blog post here
112:54
All right. So I’ve just got some lorem ipsum text, but I’ll sort of show you how to optimize it properly
113:00
All right. So you’ve got your image here. You’ve got your title here. All themes are sort of different
113:06
This is what mine looks like
113:07
so what we’re going to do is click on edit post and that’s going to take you to the back end section here and
113:13
This is where actually add in content. All right
113:16
So the first thing that we’re gonna look at is adding in the title, right?
113:21
So your target keyword might be things to do in Bali
113:24
Okay, and if you actually do a search for that on let’s say Google
113:30
Things to do in Bali. Okay, you don’t enter
113:34
You’re gonna see all these different tiles here, okay and
113:38
Normally, it’s not just like things to do in Bali. It’s like top things
113:42
It’s like the best things you want to make something different
113:44
All right
113:45
You want to make an article which is different because if it’s the same then why are people gonna click into your one right?
113:51
so to do that, I keep the key word here and I look at the competition so I might do like
113:57
20
113:59
maybe amazing or
114:01
Awesome, like if someone’s got amazing, so I might do 21 awesome things to do in Bali Indonesia
114:08
Ok, Indonesia, is this one is gonna be my secondary keyword. Okay, and
114:13
Once you had that then you want to make sure your permalink is things to do in bali or something like that
114:19
Okay, sometimes it’s not edited. You can actually click on edit and make sure it has something to do with your title here
114:27
Okay, you don’t have to have the exact same one because that’s gonna look too spammy. Okay, so I like it like this
114:33
Okay, so if my title is 21 awesome things to do in bali indonesia
114:36
Then the title can be just like that, right? It doesn’t have to be 21 awesome things again
114:41
Okay, click on okay, then you want to scroll down?
114:45
Now for your content section what you–what do you want to do is you want to scroll down first?
114:50
All right to the bottom. Okay to the Yoast SEO and you can put in your focus keyword
114:55
So your focus keyword might be things to do in Bali
115:01
alright and here
115:04
You’ll have the improvements and also some problems of what you actually need to do
115:08
right, so you can actually go up here and
115:12
the first thing that you normally want to do is include the keyword within the
115:17
The first paragraph. Okay, so you might be like, you know
115:23
in this post
115:29
I’ll be giving you my top 21
115:37
Awesome things to do in Bali Indonesia
115:44
Okay, I’m not gonna go through like how to actually write okay, I’m just showing you that
115:49
Once you actually make some changes here then normally it’s going to update here as well
115:55
Okay
115:55
So as you can see the focus keyword appears in the first paragraph of the copy
115:59
So you can sort of follow all these different improvements and also the problems here
116:04
Okay, so as you can see the exact match keyword density is too low. Okay, so I haven’t actually
116:11
Create the article yet. But you know once I’ve actually written out then it should be quite decent
116:17
So that shouldn’t be a problem the Meta Description. We haven’t done that yet. Okay internal links. I’ll show that later
116:24
we’re gonna go up here and
116:26
Here you want to edit the Meta Description right? You can click on edit snippet and
116:31
You can delete these things and actually edit it sort of manually
116:36
You can delete it if you want to but I’m gonna keep it as is so this is basically the default
116:42
Okay, so it’s going to take the title of the page and then put the separator there and then you’ve got the site title
116:48
Which is the logo, right?
116:49
So you want to change the Meta Description here again, you want to sort of change something different to what you actually see here
116:56
But you also want to try and include the keyword in there as well. Okay, so it might be like
117:05
It’s gonna take some time so let me think thinking of visiting Bali
117:12
Don’t go before you read this
117:20
amazing
117:23
Guide for the best 21 things to do in
117:31
Bali Indonesia
117:35
And then maybe
117:37
Read more here or something like that
117:39
Okay
117:40
So I think you were going
117:41
Thinking of visiting Bali don’t go before you read this amazing guide for the best 21 things to do in Bali
117:47
So I’ve included the keyword in there. You don’t have to have it exactly
117:50
Again, but try to include a variation of it
117:53
Okay, so when you’ve actually done your keyword research, right, you should have you know other keywords
117:59
Which you can actually include in the Meta Description as well
118:02
okay, so I’ve included Indonesia there as well because that’s my secondary keyword sort of and
118:09
here internal links so internal links is
118:12
because you know if you’re writing an article, you can actually do internal links by clicking on this thing clicking on the Settings here and
118:21
You can link it to existing content
118:23
okay, so if you actually have a let’s say you might be like
118:28
You know referring to like the best hotels in Bali, right? You have an article about that
118:34
So you want to link it to that, right?
118:37
Because it’s gonna help the user as well and it’s not also gonna tell Google that you know
118:43
Your page is quite a good resource, especially if it’s linking out to external pages as well
118:48
You don’t want to just link to your own blog post right? You want to link to whatever is useful for the user?
118:54
Okay, you don’t want to overdo it?
118:56
But you know you want to try include some okay. So once you’ve done that then that would be fixed as well and
119:03
As you can see this is no app out links. Okay, when you actually put in a bound links, then this will be
119:09
Ticked, okay
119:11
For the images here. Okay, what you want to do is once you actually add in a featured image, let’s say this one here
119:18
I’ve also named this image as well. So this one is barley rice fields. I’ve named it. Okay, because that is a rice field
119:25
I believe and you can also include it alt text here. So maybe this one is you know person in
119:33
Bali rice fields
119:37
Okay, and then click on set featured image now, you don’t really have to have it exactly like things to do in bali
119:44
You’re gonna add in some more images. Anyway, like here. Yeah can act in media and
119:49
Then media library, so I might add in this one
119:53
the alt text a we do like
119:57
Things to do in bali now, this is gonna tick it
120:01
Okay, so i’m gonna insert that into the post as in a full-size insert to post
120:08
Okay, when you actually done that then this should also be ticked off as well, okay
120:15
Here and you can just follow each of these things. So we actually optimize your website. It’s really easy
120:21
You do want to add in a category and also some tags as well to also add in some more
120:26
Depth to your article you want to add in pictures videos, you know
120:30
If you have some quotes or anything like that, or if you have some like tips
120:33
you do want to put that into like a nice little
120:37
Sort of if you actually go to a website call. Let’s say
120:42
Neil Patel
120:44
you can see that he’s really good at writing blog posts so he can go to his blog and
120:51
I’m gonna go and let’s say let’s click on my bad. This one here
120:59
So if you scroll down here
121:03
He’s using heading twos here, okay, I’m pretty sure that’s a heading two maybe or heading three
121:10
Okay, it gets a heading two
121:12
Right, so you want to make sure you have sub headlines in your blog post as well. It’s going down
121:17
He’s got you know external links as well to his digital agency website
121:24
Here he’s got images to describe you know what he’s talking about but let’s just see if he has a tip
121:35
Okay, I can’t really find it but you sort of get the picture right he’s got images
121:39
Describe what he’s talking about and that’s what you should have on your blog post. You want to make it as
121:46
in-depth as possible
121:47
Okay, you want to make it the best resource that people can find?
121:50
Okay
121:51
Because if you don’t then why are people gonna link to your website?
121:54
You want it to be the best resource?
121:56
so people will share it with their friends because when people are sharing things with their friends,
122:01
They want to share like really amazing things. Okay, because they want to they themselves they want to look good
122:06
They don’t want to share like a website which only has like a few hundred words for your content
122:11
They want to share an entire blog post because it’s amazing. Okay, and you want to make sure that you have sub headlines everywhere
122:18
To describe each of the main points and you don’t want to have huge blocks of text like that if you actually go to here
122:24
Like as you can see like the text is very spread out. It’s not like, you know one huge block of text
122:29
Okay, it’s very conversational
122:32
So to make it more conversational you want to use the words, you know
122:36
You and I so what you can actually do is you can also go to another website which is called I think
122:42
Smarter vlogger, I believe I think is by John morrow
122:46
Okay, and he’ll tell you how to you know, right a really good blog post
122:51
Okay, because I’m not the expert in writing a blog post. I just know how to optimize it properly. Okay?
122:56
So here this one is really good a really good thing to emulate as you can see they have sections here, which they highlight
123:03
Okay, so you don’t see like this huge block of text?
123:06
Okay, so you might want to save this and bookmark this to your page as well
123:12
Alright, so that is pretty much for the SEO
123:16
Optimization for your blog I’m gonna go through the optimization for a ecommerce store, right?
123:22
So what we’re gonna do first is we’re gonna have a look at the shop page. So I’m gonna click on visit store
123:29
Okay. So before I’ve actually researched and I wanted to sell, you know iPad stands for your bed
123:36
IPad stands for the point-of-sale the machine thing and also the car mounts, okay
123:43
So I’ve gathered some images and I put in some
123:47
Titles here, right? So this is my shop page
123:51
Okay, so this can be a category page or your product page, but you do want to still optimize it
123:58
Okay
123:58
So you want to make sure?
124:00
that if this is your targeting phone and tablet accessories you want to make sure that this keyword here is
124:06
Set to the h1 tag. Okay, and you do want to include a little description here. I’m not quite sure
124:12
which builds are you guys actually using but I’m using themify builder and when you actually turn the build on you can actually
124:19
Edit it quite easily by dragging in each of the modules
124:23
if you do want to learn how to build a website, I’ll also have a link down below and then you can
124:28
Use this builder as well so you can double click on that
124:31
So you want to make sure this one is set to heading one and you want to make sure that you have you know
124:36
like a 300 word description
124:38
Either on top here or on the bottom here, okay
124:42
So for example a really good example, is this website here the iconic and I’ll show you quickly
124:48
So I’m gonna close that and if we actually click into that
124:52
Then they have their heading one tag here, which is men’s bags. You can inspect that
124:59
That’s heading one
125:00
Okay, and if you actually scroll down below all this products here they have a description here
125:08
Okay, so they have maybe a three to four hundred word description and they’ll also link to other pages as well
125:15
So this is really good internal linking structure as well as adding some content here
125:19
So Google knows sort of what this page is about. Okay, so that’s what you want to do here
125:24
You want to add some text here?
125:27
So let’s say we actually click into the product as well. So I’m going to show you how to optimize the products. Okay, and
125:36
Everything like that. So you want to click on edit product? So for this one, I’m targeting iPad stand for bed. Okay
125:44
so you want to make sure that’s in the title section and you also want to make sure that
125:49
It’s in the permalink here as well. Okay doesn’t have to be exact
125:52
So for example, I’ve got iPad stand for beds or something like that. I just got iPad stand bed
125:59
okay, and here is your long description normally and
126:03
what you want to do is before when we’re actually researching for the
126:08
keywords ecommerce keywords, we’ve actually found some keywords, which were
126:13
Sort of related. Okay, so
126:15
Here we’ve found keywords for like for example, you got holder you’ve got
126:19
You know watching movies in bed iPad holder for bed or so far. So people are looking for iPad stands for this reason, right?
126:27
So you want to include that within your content because that’s what people want to have that product actually solve that problem
126:34
Okay of you know, they want don’t want to hold their iPad all the time
126:37
They want to have it
126:38
You know in a stand so they can watch it in bed with their partner or by themselves or whatever
126:43
Okay
126:44
so what you can actually do is you can actually include that in the in the content here and
126:50
Let’s say the perfect iPad stand for work Shing movies and reading rate
126:55
I don’t have to have the exact thing key word here
126:58
But you can actually set this to the hanging to tag or something like that
127:01
Okay, and then you can use you know different keywords within the content for example so far
127:07
Bathroom people might want to have might be searching iPad stands for table. So I’ve included that in the content as well also
127:15
you want to include any of the you know main features as well and
127:19
Also people also searching for iPad stands in Australia
127:23
So you might include something about how its manufactured in Australia or it’s an Australian company or something like that within the content
127:31
Then you want to make sure you select the category. So I’ve set it to iPad stands and mounts
127:37
Here you can include some tags, which is maybe the brand name or the size
127:41
Here you want to add in a product image? And again, I’ve actually named that image
127:46
Okay iPad bed number two and then for the alt text, I’ve just named it girl using iPad mount in bed
127:52
Okay, so, you know people are also searching for iPad mounts. So I do want to include some
127:59
Keyword with mount in it as well right then
128:02
We scroll down here to the yo section and here you can put in your focus keyword
128:06
and then what you want to do is click on edit snippet and
128:09
Then you can put in your SEO title iPad stand for bed. And
128:13
Then since you’re selling you know phone and tablet accessories for your website
128:19
then I put that there and then I put maybe the brand name of the
128:24
Website, okay
128:26
So here for the Meta Description you want to sort of include the keywords relevant keywords, like for example movies
128:33
You know people want to read books and stuff like that
128:36
You also want to add maybe something about your free shipping and you also want to have a call to action
128:41
So some really good examples is you can go to you know
128:45
leather bags
128:46
You can look at people who are any competition
128:49
For example here shot follow the bags online at the iconic. Get some
128:53
Inspiration from you know, the top websites within your industry of how they actually do it
128:58
Okay. So for example, you might also do you know online as well or by within the title as well?
129:04
Because that’s what people are searching for. Alright, so maybe iPad stands
129:09
acessories online
129:12
Maybe you could do
129:14
Buy as well
129:16
So that’s going to help you rank for keywords, if people actually searching for buy ipad stands for bed
129:23
Okay, so I might that add that into my title as well
129:26
I’ve done that for my marriage caption. So it doesn’t have to be you know, a hundred percent everything
129:32
Okay, but you want to try your best. I’ve also included additional images which I’ve updated the alt tags and everything like that
129:40
Scrolling down here follow all the
129:43
improvements necessary
129:44
And also the problems or whatever you need to do as you can see
129:47
You probably want to add some more information here
129:49
You want to add some images as well or some videos here is your short description?
129:54
So I’ve included the keyword in here as well
129:58
But I didn’t include like exactly so I did like this is a newly designed iPad stand which can be used in bed
130:04
You don’t have to do it all the time exact. Okay, even though it might say here and
130:10
You might you know, you don’t really need to add, you know outbound links or anything like that
130:14
But you can add some internal links if you want to
130:18
Because it is a product page. You don’t really link to a competitor’s website, right so you don’t really need to do that
130:24
And then you can hit on update and we can view that page
130:29
So let’s view that page
130:32
Okay, just like that
130:35
that’s pretty good and
130:38
Then what you can actually do is once you actually hover on top here
130:42
You’ll see that the title is changed to by iPad stand for bed phone and tablet accessories online
130:48
Alright, and what you want to do is you also want to optimize the category pages as well
130:54
So I’ll show you where it’s actually edit that for your website. So this is my category. My category is iPad stands and mounts
131:03
What you want to do is to edit that you can go to here
131:07
click on products and here you can click on categories so
131:10
Normally for a category page you you won’t be able to edit that with your builder
131:15
You can edit it here though. So you can click on edit for that category
131:22
Scroll down and here you can add your description
131:25
Okay, so for the category page, I’m targeting iPad stands and mounts
131:31
So I’m sort of targeting two keywords. Okay, because these ones are sort of really similar right stands and mounts
131:38
So I’m gonna target them both. So if you actually search for let’s do I pad stance into Google
131:46
You’ll see that some have stands and mounts as well. Right I’ve had casein stand
131:52
Stands and holders. Okay. So it’s it’s fine if you target both of them like that add a short description here, okay
131:59
This is where you do it you want to set this one to the heading one tag?
132:03
alright and
132:05
Then you can add some keywords in there and maybe you can link out to
132:09
Several of your pages. Okay your internal pages
132:13
So I’ve pretty much done it for these other products as well
132:17
I’ve had standard for point of sale and that is pretty much how you sort of optimize
132:23
For your ecommerce store? Okay. So if you’re using any other
132:27
you know ecommerce platform like Shopify the formula of
132:31
Optimization is pretty much the same you want to have you know, your title optimized your URL your Meta Description
132:39
Your h1 tag and within the content yourself
132:42
itself and also images you want to have the alt tags and also the file names you do want to have some
132:50
Internal links or external links, especially if it’s like a blog post or something like that
132:54
but if it’s like a product page
132:55
You don’t really need to you can just link internally and you can take a look at you know
132:59
What other pages are doing within your industry as well?
133:03
so what I’m gonna walk through now is
133:06
Basically where to find you know backlinks for your website
133:10
okay, so in this section of the video
133:12
I’ll be talking about off page SEO which is basically getting backlinks to your website
133:19
So backlinks are essentially
133:22
You know links that will point to your website
133:25
So for example, if I go to travel blogs, I do a Google search I click on the first result
133:31
so on this blog post
133:33
They’ll have a link to these different blogs, okay?
133:36
So this is what we call a backlink now the more backlinks that you have normally the higher your rank
133:42
Assuming that you get backlinks from quality and also relevant domains, right?
133:47
so this is I think maybe a
133:51
I think a
133:53
Expedition nurse or maybe a blog about travel? Okay, and it’s linking to another travel blog. So it’s quite relevant
133:59
Okay, so you don’t want you know, if if you’re a local business about carpet cleaning?
134:04
You don’t want a website which talks about, you know, dog training or something like that. You want a website maybe from a local directory?
134:12
you want a website that maybe talks about homes how to renovate homes or like
134:19
Maybe let’s say a real estate website or something like that. You want something that is relevant. Okay
134:26
So I’m gonna show you the easiest way to get backlinks. So I think you guys should have the SEMRush
134:32
7-day trial so hopefully you guys can still use that. Let’s just say for a local business
134:37
We’re gonna do carpet cleaning as an example. Just type that into Google and
134:41
We’re gonna get the competitors backlinks
134:44
Right. So this is the top ten results
134:47
And what you can do is you can open some of the links in new tabs just like that
134:53
Okay, and we’re gonna try and get links
134:56
That our competitors have gotten okay, so we’re gonna copy the URL and we’re gonna go back here. We’re gonna go to
135:03
domain analytics
135:04
Click on backlinks. And what you want to do is paste in the URL into here. Okay. I’m gonna delete everything except
135:12
The name plus the comm that I you and then click on check it
135:17
So here is the total amount of backlinks
135:20
1100 the unique domains. So the unique websites are only about a hundred so that means that they’ve got
135:28
links from about hundred unique web sites, but
135:32
They might have links on several pages of that unique domain
135:36
So that’s why they’ve got more backlinks then the referring domains and if you’re a local website
135:41
You do want to actually get you know, most of your links from
135:46
Australia but sometimes you can’t help it. So this is the backlink profile and
135:52
You’ll see that there is a follow link and a nofollow that type of link, okay
135:56
So normally you do want to have more follow links
135:59
the reason why you want follow links is because Google will actually pass the link juice for
136:05
That website to your website. So no further links. They don’t pass any link juice. Okay, so you do want a
136:13
Variation though. Okay, because you want everything to be natural. So I think maybe 80/20 should be okay
136:19
so if we scroll down here, you’ll see top anchors now anchors are
136:24
It means the anchor text, right? So to show you guys an example
136:29
Let’s say for example here. It says one mile at a time. That is the anchor text. Okay, and
136:35
If you actually hover over it on the bottom left that is the URL that it’s thinking to okay
136:41
So normally you want the anchor text to be the keyword that you’re targeting
136:46
So let’s just say you’re targeting carpet cleaning in Melbourne
136:49
Then you want some of the anchor text to say carpet cleaning in Melbourne. Okay, but you do want to keep everything natural
136:56
Okay, so most of the time you might have just the URL itself
136:59
link, you know click here website and then you might have a few which is like carpet cleaning melbourne carpet cleaning services you
137:07
don’t want too much of that because you
137:09
don’t want to over optimize it so to check the actual links you can actually go and click on the backlinks tab up here and
137:17
You can scroll down and you can filter it by follow and no follow
137:22
Let’s just click on follow and what you can do is you can see the PS here this stands for the page score
137:29
Okay, so obviously if your higher the better and this is the trust score, okay, the higher the better as well
137:35
So let’s click on the first result here, right? So if you click on this little arrow thing, it’ll take you to this website here
137:42
Okay, so as you can see the website name is fine to local. So this looks like a local directory
137:49
Okay, so if you’re a local business, then you probably want to register
137:53
okay, so normally it’s free to register just fill in your details and
137:58
register and then you can put in your name of your business the address your phone number and also email and also a
138:06
URL to your website including, you know, maybe an overview of what you actually do
138:11
Okay
138:11
So you want to have a lot of local directory websites?
138:14
And I find that if you have a few of those your pages will start rain King
138:18
Okay
138:19
So this is probably the most easiest type of link that you can get because you don’t need any sort of
138:24
Approval for it and you can go through all the links here. So let’s just click on the next one here and
138:30
Have a look. Okay, so I’m going to have a look at the few of these and
138:34
I’m also going to have a look at
138:38
Electro dry comdata you so I’m going to have a look at this domain here as well. So I’m going to copy that and
138:44
Then I’m gonna open a SM Rush in a new tab
138:47
So I’m gonna show you some more examples of what type of links that you can actually get
138:52
So it’s really easy. Click on domain analytics backlinks again
138:56
Normally for a local website. It’s a lot easier to rank click on check it
139:00
so, you know with a few backlinks you’ll see that your websites will start ranking right with like e-commerce stores and
139:08
Blog websites they do require more links and you need to put in more effort
139:13
Okay, so if we actually click on backlinks here and we scroll down
139:18
Okay. So this one’s a nofollow link, but you can’t get some of these you do want to have not too many external links
139:25
Okay, normally the more external links it has then the more spammy that page is okay
139:32
So you probably don’t want to go anywhere above 100 the lower the better
139:36
And it also depends on
139:39
What type of page so you want to do want to have a look at it manually?
139:42
So this here, it looks like a a blog page
139:47
Okay, so it’s talking about how to make dirty grout look new. Okay, if you actually scroll down here
139:55
You’ll actually see some blog comments
139:57
Okay, so if we actually look back here you’ll see that the anchor text they used is Gloria. You can copy that to your clipboard
140:06
control fine paste
140:08
Okay, so as you can see
140:10
They left a backlink here and on the bottom left. It links to carpet cleaning will long gong
140:17
Okay, if you click onto that, then it will link to this page here. Okay?
140:22
so what you can do is you can scroll back up and
140:26
Simply leave a blog comments. You want to leave your name? You probably don’t want to call it, you know car back
140:32
melbourne or something like that because it looks kind of spammy and
140:35
The author here might not approve it
140:37
So you do want to read the article and see what’s you know value you can add to it
140:42
Rather than just having you know, great or something like that because it looks like spam
140:46
Alright, so this is another way to get some links if you actually go back and go back to this one here
140:53
You can look through all these websites for example potter calm
140:56
This is I think a another
140:58
Directory link okay that you can sign up for you can look through and some of these are guest post
141:03
So let’s look through this one here
141:06
To find a guest post. I want to see if we can find one hopefully
141:13
Scroll down, let’s see maybe this one
141:17
Let’s click on the follow. Okay. So this one here is
141:22
They have also gotten links from shop a docket. So this one is a local deal website. So not only can you
141:30
Look at where the link come from. You can also look at you know, their marketing strategy overall
141:34
Okay. So for me, I’ve also done for example for a local smash repair shop
141:40
we did like offer a sort of a I think I was like a unit university organization a
141:47
coupon code for their students or their members to get a discount for you know servicing their car and
141:53
When you’re actually providing, you know value to that
141:56
You know that that that group there you can easily get a link from their website
142:01
Okay, so that’s another way you can look at it
142:03
You don’t really you have to be sort of creative of how you get links because you can get links
142:08
You know any way that you want you just have to approach it
142:11
as
142:12
You know
142:12
You want to find what value can you give that owner?
142:15
And then you can deliver that value and you can get a link back. For example this one here
142:20
this one is a I think a blog type of web site or a
142:24
maybe a
142:26
Directory website for properties and as you can see they’ve got a guest post here
142:31
So they’ve written a guest post which is about maybe 500 or 600 words
142:36
They’ve included some images and also a link back to the website. Okay. So this one here, it says best carpet cleaning in Adelaide
142:45
So this is the anchor text. Okay, so it’s quite targeted which is good and
142:51
This is a quite a short blog post. So what you can do is you can write a much more thorough blog post and
142:58
You can contact them and ask them. You know, what can we write for your blog?
143:04
Okay, you want to look at their blog to see if you know they’re still active and you want to determine you know
143:09
What audience they have and what blog post can you write that suits their audience, right?
143:15
You don’t want to write anything random just like carpet cleaning or something like that. You want to be a lot more relevant?
143:21
As you can see here, Susie Callahan
143:25
Okay, so there’s no reason why I can’t get a guest post from this website here and the more links that you have the higher
143:32
You’re gonna rank. Okay, so you can do this for all your top ten competitors on Google search and
143:38
build your links
143:40
So I also want to show you another method and this method is actually trying to find broken links
143:47
So broken links are basically pages which are not live anymore
143:51
So sometimes a blog might be linking to a page which might not be alive for example that owner
143:59
has forgotten to renew his domain or he might have shut down his business and website and
144:05
That blog is actually still linking to them. Okay?
144:07
So for example, if you’re a travel blog then I would do maybe a you would do
144:13
‘ travel. Okay, if you’re in maybe the finance niche or anything like that
144:19
you might type in finance click on plus I mean type in plus apostrophes and
144:25
Do resource page so we want to try and find
144:30
a
144:31
Travel blogs resource page. Alright and what you want to do is you want to click on a few of these?
144:39
to check because most of the time they should be actually
144:43
alive
144:44
The links but sometimes you can actually find websites which have quite a lot of broken links
144:50
Right. What you actually want to do is download the Chrome extension called check my links and
144:56
Install it and make sure
144:58
It’s actually activated here and then you can click on it. Okay, so I’m gonna click on it for all of these websites
145:05
So it’s gonna run here and check the links
145:09
Okay, so this one here is I think a
145:15
travel blog about Peru
145:17
Okay, so it’s scanned the whole entire website to find whether or not okay all these links here
145:24
Pointing to an actual page or are they pointing to a era four four page which will give an invalid link, right?
145:32
So these are all valid so I’m gonna close the tab here
145:35
So with this website, you’ll actually see 31 invalid links, right? So they have some broken links
145:42
So what you want to consider now is alright. Is this blog appropriate?
145:46
For your own blog right? Do you actually want to link from this website here?
145:51
so if it’s actually like a travel website and you’re a travel blog and
145:55
If you actually look here
145:57
or you might be a
145:59
insurance company or anything like that then what you could do is you could email them and say
146:05
Okay, this link is not live anymore. Do you actually want to link to me because you’re actually a travel
146:12
You know insurance company as well
146:14
And most likely they will actually accept that and change that link
146:18
so the basic concept here is the website is like a house and broken links are sort of like
146:25
Like leaking holes, right and it’s like leaking water
146:28
Okay, and you found that for them and you’ve actually found the piece of a puzzle where they can just you know
146:36
Plug it back and stop that leaking
146:38
All right. So so most of the time they’ll actually change that for you for this one here
146:44
it seems like you know, these websites are working, but I think they’re actually trying to link to
146:51
Their own domain so I’m gonna actually close that one
146:55
Here, you’ve got one invalid link. Okay, so as you can see here, he’s talking about visas and
147:02
That you can actually go to this resource here to get an overview of
147:08
Sort of when you actually need a visa I get when you’re traveling so
147:12
perhaps on your travel blog you could create a
147:16
Infographic or a blog post about you know, which visas you need to get
147:21
Okay, and then you could contact so then you can contact James
147:25
via email and
147:27
Say that you have this resource, you know visa mapper is actually down. So when I actually see if it’s actually working
147:34
Okay, so as you can see it’s not working anymore
147:37
So you could email him and say that you have a better resource that perhaps he can link to right
147:45
We’re going to close that and we won’t have a look at these other ones
147:49
Okay, so this one has 69 invalid links right sir
147:54
I’m not quite sure about these ones here, but I want to look through here. Alright, so this one here is invalid
147:59
So, this is a Indian
148:04
Car hire company
148:06
Alright so this one’s not found
148:09
You know, if you’re a car hire company then perhaps you can email them and you know say that this link is broken
148:16
Would they consider linking to you instead? Right just go down
148:22
So this one’s talking about Barcelona. This one’s talking about Cambodia
148:26
international travel insurance
148:28
So yeah
148:29
You could have actually looked through it does take some time because you want to find a relevant link
148:35
So I’m gonna leave it at that for now with the link building. It’s best to get started first
148:41
I don’t want to overwhelm you guys with too much information
148:44
what I’m gonna show you now is the
148:47
analysis process of SEO so I’m gonna show you how to
148:52
Track your keywords and see what they’re ranking for connected to Google Analytics
148:56
which is really really important for your website because then you actually know okay what people are doing on your website and
149:03
You can see you know
149:05
The bounce rate and things like that so you can see whether or not people like your page or not and then you could change
149:10
It change the wording change the images update it and stuff like that. Okay
149:15
Okay, so if you actually want to track your rankings for your keywords for your actual domain name?
149:21
you can go back to your seminar and
149:25
Then you can click on projects here. Alright, so we’re gonna look for position tracking you can click on that
149:37
And
149:38
Then you can enter in the domain name that you want to track. Alright, so I entered my website click on setup and
149:48
Here you can put in your business name if you want
149:51
venture
149:52
click on device and location
149:55
so I want to set it up to track on desktop and on Google and then I’m gonna
150:02
Select the country. I might select actually just United States and
150:07
I’m not gonna select any region you can if you want to especially if you are a local website
150:13
Alright, so if you’re a local, you know copper cleaning web site, then you probably want to select
150:19
Let’s say you’re in Melbourne. You want to select Australia and then for the state you want to select Victoria and in Nobin ok?
150:26
And then you can click on competitors
150:29
Here you can actually enter in your competitors domain. Okay, so I’m gonna leave that empty for now
150:35
I’m gonna click on keywords
150:37
So for the keywords here, then I might type in you know Hogan sure I’ll something like that
150:45
Ok, so type in the keywords that you actually want to track
150:50
And
150:51
Then click on add to project. Ok. So these are the keywords and
150:56
Then you can tick send me weekly updates if you want updates from SEMRush and then click on start tracking
151:03
So I’m going to deselect that and click on that
151:31
So that’s going to start tracking your keywords if you don’t want to use SEMRush, I also actually use
151:39
Another software called cert book and I’ll leave the link down in the description below. So
151:46
right now I’m gonna show you how to
151:48
actually
151:55
Connect your WordPress website with Google Analytics
152:02
In your Google browser, what you want to do is type in Google Analytics and
152:07
then you want to cook and
152:09
Then you want to click on the first result. Okay, so this Google marketing platform. I think they recently changed it renamed it
152:16
sorry and click into that and
152:19
Then you can click sign into Google marketing platform. Okay, so make sure that you actually sign in using your
152:25
Google account and
152:27
here click on analytics setup and
152:31
That’s going to take you to your analytics page, right?
152:35
So you might actually need to set it up fill in some basic information. But generally what you’ll need to do is
152:42
You’ll need to find the admin tab here. Okay, so we’re gonna add in our website and
152:48
Here you need to click on create an account. So create account and
152:53
What you want to do is you want to set up a website name. So I
152:59
Am actually just gonna copy this URL here
153:02
and
153:04
Then come back here and paste that in as my website name. Okay, so you can name it whatever you want
153:11
Your local website name or your brand and then you want to put in your website URL? Okay. You want to remove the
153:19
HTTP and the front? Okay and make sure just select it there only
153:23
Okay for the category you can type in I think
153:28
Let’s just do
153:29
Business if we can find it. Okay for the reporting time zone. I’m gonna set it to Australia, but you have to set it to
153:38
your country
153:40
set it to Melbourne and
153:42
Here we’re gonna leave everything as is and then we’re gonna click on get tracking ID
153:47
okay here I’m gonna select Australia as well and
153:51
then I’m gonna accept the terms and servers here and
153:56
Also here and I accept
154:00
Alright so once that is done that has been created. Okay, so when that’s actually created you will need to go back to your
154:08
WordPress website and we need to download a plugin. So click on plugins here
154:17
And
154:19
Then what you need to do is click on add new
154:23
And
154:25
Here what you can search for is google
154:30
Analytics, okay
154:34
So what we want to do is want to install google analytics dashboard for WP
154:40
Okay, it should be by exact metrics and we’re gonna click on Install Now
154:46
And
154:49
Click on activate
154:55
And then what you want to do is you want to look for Google Analytics on the left hand here
155:01
You can click on general settings
155:04
and
155:06
We want to authorize this plugin
155:09
By clicking on that and
155:12
Here we’ll want to click on get access code. Okay, so make sure you’ve actually added in your website URL here and
155:20
Click on get access code
155:24
Okay, select the website
155:39
Select your email
155:43
Click on allow and
155:46
This is the code that you want to copy paste it into here and save access code
155:54
Okay, so that is
155:58
So that will be selected normally your website and then I’m going to click on lock selection and
156:05
Then what you can do is click on Save Changes and
156:10
I think I want to click on the tracking code here and
156:16
What I want to do is I want to look for exclude tracking tab here and
156:21
I want to exclude tracking for the administrator
156:25
So basically when you’re actually accessing that website, it’s not gonna track
156:29
You know how many visits or how many pages you actually visit and things like that
156:34
I’m actually gonna select
156:38
Ok everything except the customer and then click on Save Changes and
156:46
That is pretty much it
156:47
And then when you actually click on dashboard
156:49
you’ll actually see the
156:52
Dashboard here where it can give you an actual overview of how many people are visiting your website
156:59
How many users are visiting your website how many pages in total you’re getting every day or?
157:05
you know last 14 or 17 days and also the bounce rate as well the bounce rate basically means
157:16
What is the percentage of people who just, you know view one page and then click off your website
157:21
Ok, so the lower the bounce rate the better
157:24
If you actually go to your Google Analytics account you can then I think you can click on the search thing here click on home
157:33
and
157:35
Here it’s gonna actually show you the
157:39
Website data in more detail. Ok, so you can click on audience and
157:43
All these different information so I’m not gonna go through this because this can be a whole nother video
157:49
so what we’re gonna go through now is
157:52
Some tips to actually increase your ranking
157:55
So I was going to create a whole section on giving you the tips best SEO tips to increase your rankings
158:01
but Bryan Dean from backlink accom has
158:04
Basically covered that in his 15 all-time best SEO tips video, which I’ll link down in the description below
158:11
This is really good
158:12
But some of the things that he’s referring to we’ve already covered that
158:16
But there’s also some bonus information there, which I think is really useful and on his channel
158:21
There’s also a lot of stuff related to getting traffic and SEO as well. And what I recommend is checking out Neil Patel
158:29
His videos also cover, you know getting traffic
158:33
SEO
158:34
Conversions just all-round marketing and things like that and also checking out smarter bloggers if you are
158:41
Learning how to blog. All right. So personally what I do recommend is most people are probably on you know
158:48
a basic web hosting plan with their web host
158:51
what I recommend is to actually move to cloud hosting or
158:56
WordPress hosting so it’s a lot faster
158:58
If you actually move up to those services you could say web hosting is a good place to start
159:03
It’s sort of like a Toyota but like cloud hosting is like one step further. It’s like a BMW
159:09
Okay, so you probably don’t really need a dedicated server, which is like a Ferrari
159:14
Yet because you’re probably not getting that much traffic yet. But if you actually do then that’s what I recommend as well
159:21
So a faster website will mean a greater user experience for your customers and visitors
159:27
I personally also use a service called max CDN
159:31
So this is a content delivery network and it basically helps
159:37
Deliver the website’s content to the actual user faster
159:42
Okay, and so let’s say I have a website in Australia, then I’ll actually need to purchase a zone in
159:50
Australia we want to get more locations. Okay, so it’s actually
159:56
$15 a month. Okay, so
159:58
This will basically help deliver the content to my Australian customers a lot quicker, but it is 15 dollars a month
160:06
Okay, because increasing the speed is gonna help with the user experience want people, you know
160:11
Check out your site on their mobile or desktop. It loads really quickly and that’s gonna improve your ranking over time
160:18
Okay, so that is pretty much it for this SEO video
160:22
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed it
